Posting for traffic. Can I get your podcast recommendations. I’ve been listening to true crime podcasts like Someone knows something, Serial and s.town. But need something a bit more lighthearted

@Cocoayoghurt - that last one on your list looks interesting Grin

I quite enjoy Jessie Ware’s (and her mum) Table Manners too.

Mammyloveswine · 26/02/2020 03:31

Shagged, married, annoyed is my favourite! Love it! had me crying laughing at the gym the other other day Blush

Also "the secret world of slimming clubs" is good if you go or have been to slimming world/weightwatchers before!

Donhill · 26/02/2020 06:33

Serial.
If you are into films, or have run out of things to watch on Netflix, then We Watch Anything is good - funny chat and film reviews.

Jokie · 26/02/2020 06:44

Blood ties
Ear hustle
Emma and Anna have issues
Comedy of the week from radio 4

Pugsley87 · 26/02/2020 06:52

The two shot podcast! Hosted by Craig Parkinson (Dot in Line of Duty). He has conversations with a range of people (originally mainly actors, but now chefs, poets etc). You don't need to listen in an order. He has such a therapeutic voice.

FredericaBimmel · 26/02/2020 06:53

The Horne Section Podcast - silly musical comedy podcast with guests
Adam Buxton - funny but with a good range of guests
Oh Lord Won’t You Buy Me A Podcast - funny podcast about adverts
Off Menu - funny food podcast
All Killa No Filla - funny murder podcast

PositiveVibez · 26/02/2020 06:54

Athletics Mince definitely. I detest football, so as a pp said, don't let that put you off.

Off Menu. Some eps are better than others, but you can pick which comedians you like and just listen to those.

Franticbutterfly · 26/02/2020 07:08

Kermode and Mayo’s film review (I’m an Vltl, hello to Jason etc Grin). By the book; You’re dead to me; The curious cases of Rutherford and Fry, A slob comes clean, Clutterbug.

Yabadee · 26/02/2020 07:11

I wouldn’t be surprised if Rosie Ramsay from SMA was on here actually 🤔 she seems like an mn type!

fishonabicycle · 26/02/2020 07:34

Thanks for these!

ReverseGiraffe · 26/02/2020 07:46

So glad All Killa no Filla has been mentioned so many times! It really is great.
My Favourite Murder is fab too.

Not light hearted at all but if you liked serial, "Untold: The Daniel Morgan Murder"is much better

Also Dr. Death is incredible

CrusoePoll · 26/02/2020 08:24

There are so many great podcasts - I’m a total addict

LadyOfTheCanyon · 26/02/2020 09:08

Much as I love All Killa No Filla it is practically 90% filler! I don't actually learn much about serial killers from it which can be unbelievably frustrating at times so I just go off and google the killers instead. I realise that makes me sound weird. Grin

They walk among us is very thorough and often about cases that aren't overly well known. The narrator's voice is an acquired taste , however.

99% invisible is a podcast about design and architecture but it's a bit more tangential than that. Has covered fascinating subjects in the past.

Evil Genius with Russell Kane where comedians discuss if a popular ( usually dead) figure was Evil or a Genius

An hour or so with Sue Perkins - lovely chat.

Do the right thing - silly panel game

Something rhymes with purple - Susie Dent and Gyles Brandreth talk about language.

The Guardian Today in Focus podcast covers topical news issues in more depth

Distraction Pieces with Scroobius Pip - more left field guests but fascinating chat.

Plus yes to Athletico Mince, Off Menu and RHLSTP!

VideographybyLouBloom · 26/02/2020 09:12

I like Those Conspiracy Guys. They tackle true crime and other conspiracies but are really funny about it. It’s a bit dark at times though

geekone · 26/02/2020 09:23

Inside if you Michael Rosenbaum
Revisionist History Malcolm Gladwell
Cautionary Tales
Kermode and Mayo’s film review
Anything from chipperish media depending on your tv/movie taste.
David Tennant does a podcast with....

TinyTimsCrutch · 26/02/2020 14:40

Ooh, ooh, I forgot one - Great Lives from Radio 4! You hear about all sorts of unsung/forgotten people, as well as learning about people you thought you knew. Doesn't need to be listened to in any order, you just pick whichever seems interesting.

Thewomeninthemirror · 26/02/2020 15:00

Dear Joan and Jericha is very funny but very dark humour. I love it!

chellochello · 26/02/2020 15:20

Ooo so many interesting sounding suggestion - I've only listened to True Crime ones so not really light hearted but my favourites are In the Dark (especially season 2) and Cold
