Boots test-false positive?

Hi all,

Wondering if anyone has experienced false positives with boots own brand tests? I got a very faint line this afternoon and this evening did a CB digital and got “not pregnant”. My heart is sore but not sure if it’s worth reading too much into this yet. I’m on CD22 of 26

I’ve had false positives on sainsburys own brand tests. Don’t know about boots. Cb digital darent very sensitive. Try a first response x

Literally noone on here can tell you if you're pregnant. Go and see a doctor.

I had a false positive on a Boots test. About 5 FRERs and one other Boots test were negative but the Boots test was positive. AF was late and but I wasn’t pregnant.

It is early though so you could be pregnant. Good luck

That is a negative pregnancy test.

I don't understand the question is about a False positive but the picture shows a negative test?

I don’t see a second line I’m afraid. Perhaps it’s a little too early? I’m not sure I’d waste a test until I was late to be honest, they’re so expensive!

I can see a faint line or it could be an evap line which is a negative. You’ll be best waiting a few days then doing another one

Wait until after AF is due if it doesn’t arrive on time then test with a frer if your period is late

Sorry OP I didn’t really scrutinise your pic, I was just answering your question about false positives on a Boots test!

Personally (from the 3 pregnancies I've had) I would say that looks like a very early positive result, meaning it would be too early to detect on a digital yet.

I can see a second line too. Possibly a chemical pregnancy op? Or if you are really not sure, go and get a first response, clear blue aren't that great.

Looks negative to me.

I can definitely see a second like (had to turn my screen brightness up but it's there). As long as the line appeared within the time stated then it's a positive. Get a FR to confirm as clear blue are notoriously unreliable with early testing.

They say that the digital are more sensitive but for me I got a positive with a stick test, did a digital next morning and got a negative. I now have a 16m old!

Try again tomorrow morning when urine most concentrated. Best of luck!

I had a false positive with a boots test, it was a really strong line too.

I can see a faint line on your test but you need to test first thing in the morning with your first urine when the hCg levels are more concentrated. Try retesting early morning in a day or two.

I can see a faint second line but it doesn’t appear to have any colour in it to me personally so it may just be an Evap.

I would personally test again on a FRER in 48 hours.

Same as above, I had a few cheap tests come up positive and the digital said not pregnant. It took a few days for it come up on a digital and had to be first morning wee.

It looks like an evap. Sorry. Wait til cd27 and test again. I know it's hard to wait. FC you are pregnant

Saw the line straight away OP. I'm not sure if Boots are known for false positives but CB digital aren't very sensitive at all. They won't show a positive result until the lines are quite strong on standard test.

Test again in a few days, possibly with a FRER as they're best for early results and very sensitive

It looks like a faint positive to me. You are only CD22 - wait a couple of days and try again.

I had a false positive on a clear blue test, it doesn’t look positive on the picture you have posted.

You're testing 4 days BEFORE af is due? Wait a few days, try again.
