Boots test-false positive?

Hi all,

Wondering if anyone has experienced false positives with boots own brand tests? I got a very faint line this afternoon and this evening did a CB digital and got “not pregnant”. My heart is sore but not sure if it’s worth reading too much into this yet. I’m on CD22 of 26

CB digital aren’t as sensitive so won’t pick up a positive result until you’re at least a day late.

I've took 2 pregnancy tests that are early response, one has the slightest faint line that you can only see in a certain light and the other a little darker but still really faint, I've then took a clear blue and it says not pregnant, I'm only a day late from my period, in so worried

There is no such thing as a false positive. You cant have a positive result and not have conceived.

YES you can. It's called "Shit tests"
Your information could not be more wrong Hmm

So say I did a random test which came back clearly positive but since I’ve had another positive that day and then some negatives and 2 faint positives on a Tesco own test and a faint positive on a first response @

Hi Lulu you're probably best starting your own thread.

Hey,
Any advice welcome. I got BFP (fanit) 9dpo. Since then I’ve had a BFP every morning with FRER. I’m now 14 dpo (AF) due today. Today I’m negative on FRER yet in CBD it says I’m 1-2 weeks pregnant. I’m so confused. I have all the pregnancy symptoms. I thought FRER were more sensitive than CBD 🤷🏼‍♀️ I had a MC in July, I was 11 weeks but stopped growing about 7 weeks. I have 3 healthy children who were all surprised. Typical, when we decide we want a fourth it’s not happening?!

Is this an early positive? It’s within the time frame

This is a zombie thread. You need to start your own one

cecilia01 · 18/07/2022 02:35

Just did now. I noticed after I posted my question 🫣

@BumbleBee15 I’ve had lines like that, but not pregnant (Boots and One Step). It’s an evap line. True positives are pink. If your usual cycle is 26 days then wait until day 28 to test again. You’ll know for definite if you’re pregnant or not by that point.

Why did you start a zombie thread??

cecilia01 · 18/07/2022 13:04

I was reading on this thread when I made the post. Didn’t realise it’s an old post until after I posted because of the excitement. Anyhow, why is this so important. I made another post tho after this. Let’s just focus in helping each other out. I don’t think your question is relevant, plus I already answered the same question above

Thanks to those with helpful insights, I wasn’t in fact asking opinions of the attached test I was asking if others had experience with Boots tests. I have validated the CB tests are less likely to show early. I know I am testing way too early, all the symptoms in the world (in my head) and trying not to be a POAS addict! Also never posted on this board before so clearly came to the wrong place. All the best to all of you x

You sound hormonal, so maybe you are pregnant

But to answer your question, your test is either negative or taken too early ie before a missed period.
