Ironing bedding?

Do you iron your bedding, get it ironed or do you have crinkled sheets on your bed?
I have some pollycotton stuff which doesn’t crinkle too much. Thinking about getting pure cottonNow but I hate creased material!!

I used to iron sheets when I first got married but it didn't last long. So washed them and after line drying put them back on the bed. Then I started taking them to a laundrette where I had them washed and folded. Now I get them washed and ironed. I got told off by my mum recently for going to put her knickers away without ironing them. I never iron knickers in fact I iron very little if I can get away with it.

see, my life isn't empty, and to say it is I find rude. I've not called anybody with creased bedding a slob. It's your choice. Like others, I iron while watching tv; I agree it's a lot easier to store ironed bedding, Also I happen to love getting into smooth ironed bedlinen. I am happy to pay for that with 30 mins' ironing. Some people spend that long each week having their nails done. I'm sure their lives are not empty either.

I never iron bedding, it decreases after a day or so anyway, plus i tuck it all in around the mattress so that kind of pulls the creases out Grin

Our beds: straight from tumble dryer to airing cupboard.
Guest bed, if MIL visiting: sent out for a service wash/dry/iron/fold so the creases are visible.

I used to never iron unless absolutely necessary. So definitely not bedding. But suddenly a few months ago started ironing all our bedding (just duvet covers and pillow cases) and now HAVE to iron it. Not sure why or what happened. Just another one of my weirdnesses.

All my bedding is ironed. Not only does it go on the bed better but it stores better and neater.

ChristmasSweet · 29/12/2019 01:43

I don't even iron my clothes unless I really have to. Grin Not sure why I own an iron...

Nbwalc · 29/12/2019 02:17

I never iron bedding or clothes

Time40 · 29/12/2019 02:26

No. It takes forever, and it's boring.

Bluerussian · 29/12/2019 02:28

I don't iron bedding, there's some good cotton that doesn't need ironing, just stretching out to dry and then putting in tumble drier to finish off. That which does need ironing I put in the ironing shop.

I only iron bedding if I'm feeling particularly house proud instagramming (so about every 6 months or so! )
We have a superking bed so I cheat and do it once the bed is made up. Makes a time consuming, tedious job so much quicker and easier..
