To Think Labour Didn't Loose

CrossingTheAlpsInOtley · 13/12/2019 12:15

Momentum did!

This parasite cult looked around for a host party, chose Labour and ate it from the inside out.

Labour need to kick them out, exorcise them and then for the next election, Labour will be Labour, not a poor dying animal beaten down by a parasite.

AnneLovesGilbert · 13/12/2019 12:18

Hmmm, pretty sure they did buddy.

DerbyshireGirly · 13/12/2019 12:19

Yeah no. They lost.

cardibach · 13/12/2019 12:19

The difference between holding Tories to a minority government in 2017 and the losses this time is the Brexit stance. Now, I’m a remainer, I don’t want to leave, but Labour did better before the centrists forced a change in the Brexit policy. So, no, I don’t think it’s down to momentum. Remain is the issue

LookingforLemons · 13/12/2019 12:19

But Momentum is much closer to what Labour is all about Confused

You mean, bring back centrist Labour Lite.

You may well be right about that, if we are ever to have a decent opposition, but it’s a different question to the one you’re asking!

MrsFogi · 13/12/2019 12:20

Labour took the election, wrapped it up, tied a big ribbon around it and handed it to the conservatives. They didn't just lose, they gave it away.

noodlenosefraggle · 13/12/2019 12:20

Labour are momentum now. They chose this path, as did their members. It's on them to purge them.

cardibach · 13/12/2019 12:22

Also this: This parasite cult looked around for a host party, chose Labour and ate it from the inside out is complete nonsense (and more than a bit hysterical). Momentum members are Labour members first. They didn’t ‘look around for a host party’ they We’re successful activists within their own. They are socialists. And Labour is (or should be) a socialist party.

MistyCloud · 13/12/2019 12:22

😂🤣 😆

Blacksackunderthetreesfreeze · 13/12/2019 12:23

Momentum are misogynistic brocialists so for that alone id like to see them gone.

CrossingTheAlpsInOtley · 13/12/2019 12:23

Yes, @LookingforLemons. That is exactly what I mean.

Momentum lost the election and they are not Labour. If John Smith had been leading Labour, he would never have allowed them to latch on and the Labour Party would not have been a platform for these barking bad and mad twollops.

OP posts:
Justanotherlurker · 13/12/2019 12:23

Is this the next 'Blair wasn't true labour' movement?

T0tallyFuckedUpFamily · 13/12/2019 12:23

Don’t worry OP, if Labour believes hard enough that they are the winner, I’m sure that will come true. After all, belief is everything. Grin

RobinBlues · 13/12/2019 12:24

Labour lost, by a spectacular amount. A landslide.

They probably wouldn't have lost by such a huge amount if Corbyn wasn't the leader, but everyone has known that for months.

CrossingTheAlpsInOtley · 13/12/2019 12:25

They're hardly "successful activists" @cardibach.

They have made a bollocks of things from arsehole to belly button.

They're successful parasites though.

OP posts:
cardibach · 13/12/2019 13:05

You may disagree with their views, but they have successfully put them forward. I’m not a member of Momentum but I do support actual socialist policies. I have no interest in a Labour Party with views so similar to the Tories that you might as well vote Tory.

Lifecraft · 13/12/2019 13:07

If Labour didn't lose, they are doing a pretty good impression of losing.

Lordamighty · 13/12/2019 13:09

Maybe Labour can self ID as the winners?

Waspnest · 13/12/2019 13:16

But they ARE Labour. How can you not see this? Labour party members voted for Jeremy Corbyn to be their leader. Labour voters voted for the likes of John McDonnell. Parties/manifestos change and if you no longer like what a party proposes, you look around for one that suits you better.

userxx · 13/12/2019 13:25

Hate to break it to you, they lost.

mummmy2017 · 13/12/2019 13:28

This is an election, not sports day where you give everyone a prize.
You lost, own it.

CharlottesPleb · 13/12/2019 13:53

You may disagree with their views, but they have successfully put them forward.

Well they haven't successfully put their ideas forward, because they have tanked massively at the ballot box. Repeatedly.

They have people voting conservative in seats Labour have held for the best part of a century. How much do we have to squint to consider that success.

Letsallscreamatthesistene · 13/12/2019 13:58

I think the problem with Labour is Corbyn. I dont think hes particularly likable

Witchend · 13/12/2019 14:02

Maybe Labour can self ID as the winners?

Grin

I've decided to self ID as PM. Do I have MN support? Grin

DarlingNikita · 13/12/2019 14:05

Momentum did! This parasite cult looked around for a host party, chose Labour and ate it from the inside out.

I agree.

I'd have New Labour back in a heartbeat.

Marleyisme · 13/12/2019 14:09

Who let them 'latch on' to the labour party?

Whose decisions was that?
