To Think Labour Didn't Loose

Momentum did!

This parasite cult looked around for a host party, chose Labour and ate it from the inside out.

Labour need to kick them out, exorcise them and then for the next election, Labour will be Labour, not a poor dying animal beaten down by a parasite.

Momentum were/are part of Labour unfortunately. But the relatively far-ish left, exemplified by Corbyn, are what lost us the election. Hopefully now we'll become more of a centre left party, which is what we need to be to win an election.

Marleyisme · 15/12/2019 09:32

Tory voters gloating about child poverty and racism winning. Well done you must be proud.

Can you link any evidence a Tory voter has gloated about child poverty?

Because honestly, unless you can, this is the shit that needs to stop or we will be stuck with the Tories for at least 10 years.

refraction · 15/12/2019 09:34

They won by 3 million people but 10 million agree with Labour which is a heck of a lot. 13 mill loved the Torys enough to vote.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 15/12/2019 09:39

Momentum isn’t closer to what Labour was set up to be

The party is centre left not left (or has been when successful) . Momentum will claim they are centre left but those that run and are involved with Momentum are most certainly not

DowntownAbby · 15/12/2019 09:40

@Saddler

Where is this gloating about child poverty?

CallmeAngelina · 15/12/2019 09:41

"Lose" has only one 'o.'

DowntownAbby · 15/12/2019 09:41

My apologies @Saddler !!

Meant to @ThatssomebadhatHarry

whiteroseredrose · 15/12/2019 09:59

I agree with you OP.

We need new New Labour if there is ever to be an alternative to the Tories.

There are lots of centre left people like me who have no home. The environment was important to me so
Labour should have been an obvious choice. But their economic policies stank so the Greens got my vote...and the Tories got in.

We are a market economy in the UK so we need thriving businesses to generate our wealth. We need an environment that supports businesses and encourages them to come to and stay in the UK, not one that would scare them off, taking jobs, income tax and NI contributions with them.

A 4 day week on 5 day pay? Lunacy.

Of course Labour lost spectacularly. The far left are so frustrating though. I'm not sure if they are so deluded that they don't get the fact that they will never win an election and are effectively making it easier for the far right to run the country or whether they are just in politics to pontificate and not actually do anything. If they wanted the Tories to run the country they couldn't go about it in a better way.

woodchuck99 · 15/12/2019 10:20

oh and FYI, in case you forgot Centrist MP's did leave and form their own party. Every last one of them just lost their seat. Funny that

Yes but small new parties are never going to get enough seats to run the country either. I get your ideology but your lack of pragmatism is frustrating. Labour won't win if they're far left so by helping to push the agenda you are really helping the Tories to win.

Bodyposiftw · 15/12/2019 10:29

We lost. Big time. No point denying it.

beautifulstranger101 · 15/12/2019 10:31

Maybe Labour can self ID as the winners?

I am cackling at this lolol

mummmy2017 · 15/12/2019 10:32

Do you think there is something in the way they teach children, that they can't accept they lost at something, and own it.

RedWineIsFabulous · 15/12/2019 10:36

Get over it.

You got absolutely slaughtered

Confused

LOSE

noodlenosefraggle · 15/12/2019 10:44

You cant on one hand say 'brexit lost us the election' and on the other hand say '10 million people liked our policies'. Many, if not most of that 10 million came from remain seats in the South East who were already Labour seats. They voted for a second referendum. I know I did. The sooner Labour own this defeat, the sooner they can move on. At the moment, they are blaming everyone else but themselves. It will mean business as usual. I'm thinking of joining the party to vote for a moderate centre left leader but there needs to be someone who will smash the far left, as Kinnock and Blair had to do in the past. The problem with most of the Momentum activists are that they were in nappies when this argument was done the last time. And the argument on PR which Labour have never supported and will not support again if they get into power again because fptp suits them as much as it does the Tories. None of this is new.

tillytrotter1 · 15/12/2019 13:09

it is pure comedy gold at the moment

Only 'at the moment'?

Frothybothie · 15/12/2019 13:28

Labour in England got gibbed by the Tories on the same way they did some years ago by the SNP. They arrogantly assumed the working class there Theirs. Assumed the good old proles would vote for a steaming turd if it was red.

Labour became too London Lovvie based and got whipped. Think thornbury and her white van/at George's flag.
