Am i going crazy or is this possible? I now opened and heated up 2 different cartons , used different saucepans and spoons but as soon as is hot it really smells. Kids say the same so is not only me! Going to throw it out now but honestly!

No need to troll hunt, it s very true, heated up 3 cartons before giving up, i am not happy. I am worried my kids will be sick as we used one box of the same batch a couple of days ago!

Doesn't make sense if u use a few days ago and no smell and now your saying it all smelt .

Watchitt · 07/12/2019 14:21

Few days ago husband used one in a dish with spices etc, we didnt eat much as it tasted/smelled strabge but we thought it was the meat. The cat ate it fine tho

Whenever anyone starts a thread mentioning poo people lose their minds. All the intelligence and wit on MN and people still cannot deal with the most basic bodily function.

Watchitt · 07/12/2019 14:27

Grin so so true. Is it a british trait I wonder?

Sagradafamiliar · 07/12/2019 14:28

What did you say to the man on the phone when you rang Lidl? 😂

Watchitt · 07/12/2019 14:30

I said the passata we bought smells of poo! I didnt know how else to say it!

JeezyPeeps · 07/12/2019 14:32

Could you not have posted this two days ago - just bought some yesterday...

Was planning to use it later - I'll report back

Andysbestadventure · 07/12/2019 14:32

Why would the cat eat passata? Tomatos are toxic to cats and dogs aren't they? Crown Confused

JeezyPeeps · 07/12/2019 14:36

Unripe tomatoes, and the green stems/stalks are toxic to cats, but ripe tomatoes are fine.

I've never seen green tomato passata, so I'm sure it will be ok.

Watchitt · 07/12/2019 14:39

I gave the meat to the cat from the dish from the other day, why dont people read
