Boyfriend is a pig?

Was having a nice meal out at a local restaurant with the boyfriend (BF). I said it would be nice to go to his house for a change of scene (he always comes to mine because he house shares). I work from home and I have 2 kittens (who have diarrhoea today) ! so sometimes I need to get out of the house. He said he hadn't changed the sheets on his bed for 2 weeks. I said that's ok, we'll make the bed together. Then he says he's only got one duvet and one sheet because 'he's a man', so he can't change the bed. He's 35 not 25 fgs. I called him a filthy pig and he should be ashamed. I've got 2 kids, 2 indoor kittens and a house and I manage to be clean and have clean bedding. AIBU?

I don't think he wanted you to go back to his.

Jupiters · 29/11/2019 22:19

That is pretty gross.

CalleighDoodle · 29/11/2019 22:20

Yeah he likes being at yours and playing house. Or he is telling you the truth and he is a lazy man-child. Neither sounds appealing.

Thehop · 29/11/2019 22:20

He just didn’t want you there.

Wildorchidz · 29/11/2019 22:26

Is this the same boyfriend that called you a dog a while back?
What is it with the animal name insults to each other?

ILikePaperHats · 29/11/2019 22:38

Yes same guy. Sigh. Can't be arsed to name change.

Sounds like a lovely supportive relationship.

Hmm
Wildorchidz · 29/11/2019 22:50

I think for both your sakes you need to go your separate ways really

Cryalot2 · 29/11/2019 22:54

Sounds as though you deserve better.
He doesn't want you there obvs .
Hope the kittens are better.

CalleighDoodle · 29/11/2019 22:54

Omg hadnt advanced searched and didnt realise it was that jerk! Why do you stay with him?! Seriously, he is not a good role model for your children.

DioneTheDiabolist · 29/11/2019 22:57

2 weeks my arse. 2 months more like.

SingingMyOwnSpecialSong · 29/11/2019 23:00

Why would you stay away overnight when your kittens have diarrhoea and need your care?

Hurdygurdy24 · 29/11/2019 23:03

I have one sheet and one duvet cover because I only have one bed. I also have a washing machine and a tumble drier so it has never been an issue.

Not sure mine gets changed every two weeks though. Pretty much just when it starts to really smell of sex

TowelNumber42 · 29/11/2019 23:03

Housework is women's work so he doesn't do it.

You should be ashamed for dating a filthy sexist pig. Why are you dating a filthy sexist pig?

Branleuse · 29/11/2019 23:04

2 weeks is fuck all. Hes either exaggerating, or youre being a bit OTT.

EsselGruntFuttock · 29/11/2019 23:06

🙄. Grim.

recycledbottle · 29/11/2019 23:10

Regardless of the sheet situation, I can't imagine calling someone a filty pig and expecting a positive result.

PickAChew · 29/11/2019 23:13

Hmm. I have joint problems so often delagate maing our kingsize bed to DH. A man, no less.

You did yourself a huge favour there.

StarClaws · 29/11/2019 23:32

Me too.

I also think that if I hadn't changed my sheets for 2 weeks and someone asked to come back to my place, the only reason I'd say "oh er I haven't changed my sheets for 2 weeks" would be to avoid them coming back to my place!

RonaldMcDonald · 29/11/2019 23:35

What’s that film?
He’s just not that into you

And if he is, you should run

dontalltalkatonce · 29/11/2019 23:43

Why is your bar set so low a flea could limbo under it? FFS. He's a lazy, filthy, sexist manchild. He comes to yours to loaf around. What a shitty example to show your kids, that it's acceptable to put up with a twat like this coming over to mooch whilst you do 'women's work'? Buy a sex toy, it's less hassle and more fulfilling.

Far2go46 · 29/11/2019 23:59

Mmmm bacon

MitziK · 30/11/2019 02:07

I wonder what stains he didn't want you to see?

Bin him, the manky, abusive, lying piece of shit that he is.

fallfallfall · 30/11/2019 02:11

Why have you set the bar so low?

AhNowTed · 30/11/2019 02:20

2 weeks is pretty standard.

If it was left to my husband or son, the sheets would be crawling.

I have a pristine airing cupboard full of white, folded sheets and duvets and a ridiculous number of pillow cases. All uniformly folded so the fold faces forward.

They don't even notice.
