AIBU to suggest he gets them fixed?

Yesterday he seemed to being having trouble with them yet again when they kept sliding down his nose while giving a speech. I have become obsessed with them and instead of listening to what he saying I am watching his glasses.

I am surprised Specsavers haven't made an advert about him "Jeremy should have gone to Specsavers" Grin

I have read that he may have an eye condition that requires one lens to be heavier than the other which results in his specs looking wonky.

BillywilliamV · 27/11/2019 06:13

This is going to be the name of my new pub!

JoannaObrien · 27/11/2019 06:46

@BillywilliamV

ha ha Grin

It looks like his preachers higher on one side with a heavier lense.

My left prescription is -8 so mine are always wonky, even when I buy thin and light.
Plus my ears are offset.
I try and style it out by calling it a rakish tilt.

TheQueef · 27/11/2019 06:53

Preachers? Freudian slip, prescription!

mintich · 27/11/2019 07:01

He does have prism on one lens but that's no reason for his glasses to be wonky. They should have been fitted accordingly!

JoannaObrien · 27/11/2019 07:04

This picture of him looks like one the lenses is tinted.

I don't suppose he's had much time lately for an opticians appointment.

Happyhusband · 27/11/2019 07:06

If his head is not symmetrical then nothing short of millimetre perfect custom made specs will work. And you can imagine the mileage the Tory media will get out of that while the country goes to hell in Tory hands.

JoannaObrien · 27/11/2019 07:06

@CaptainMyCaptain

He might have more time after the election ... especially after his car crash interview with Andrew Neil

He has got a Fresnel prism on the right lens to correct double vision

mrsbyers · 27/11/2019 07:08

He’s been having treatment for an eye injury / conditions which requires one lenses to be tinted and is therefore heavier than the other side. It’s easy to find out the info using google

longwayoff · 27/11/2019 07:19

He has other things to worry about. Lots of them.

Cam77 · 27/11/2019 07:35

@JoannaObrien
Oh my goodness, the Daily Mail being critical of Corbyn. Whatever next, a Catholic Pope? Meanwhile, Johnson still can't remember tell us what's going on with Russian interference in the Tory Party or how he's going to stop the UK economy crashing after Brexit. But I guess we shouldn't expect too much for a man who "can't remember" how many kids he has!

JoannaObrien · 27/11/2019 08:08

@Cam77

Mr Corbyn can't even remember what percentage of the population pay tax and what he doesn't realise that if he makes the super rich people pay more tax they will leave this country. Where then will he get his billions to pay for all that spending he intends to do when he becomes Prime Minister? The man lives in cloud cuckoo land he should go back to the back benches where he lived for many years because that is where he belongs not as leader of the Labour Party. A lot of his members feel the same because I have asked them they want new leader who can actually become PM not someone who doesn't know how many people actually pay tax in this country and where he going to get the money to pay the women who aren't getting their pension when they expected. I am actually one of those women I would prefer him to spend the billions of pounds it will cost to give me compensation on something much more worth while. Also why won't he apologise to the Jewish community? and why is he on the fence about Brexit?

OP posts:
CaptainMyCaptain · 27/11/2019 08:55

Also why won't he apologise to the Jewish community?
Because he doesn't feel he has anything to apologise for? I don't believe for one moment he is anti-Semitic although he has always condemned the State of Israel for illegal occupation of Palestine which is a completely different thing. He said any incidents of Anti-Semitism would be dealt with and have no place in the Labour Party.

why is he on the fence about Brexit? Because he has promised to have another Referendum when people can be better informed about what that actually involves. He will abide by that decision so it doesn't matter what he, personally, believes. He is acting as an unbiased referee.

He could very easily lie and make things smoother for himself, but he won't unlike Boris.

CaptainMyCaptain · 27/11/2019 08:56

Not that Boris's lies have actually made it easier for him, quite the reverse.

greenlavender · 27/11/2019 08:57

Is that all you can say? Honestly if you care more about Corbyn's glasses than anything else, I fear for the future of this country.

JoannaObrien · 27/11/2019 16:43

@greenlavender

I think a man who does not care what kind of impression he creates is not PM material .... Boris is not perfect and I cannot understand why he keeps ruffling his hair but he has more idea of how to run a country than Corbyn does. This is only my opinion but I am entitled to say what I think.

OP posts:
Selfsettling3 · 27/11/2019 16:46

JoannaObrien apparently they are from
Specsavers. I don’t Boris looks anymore statesman like than Corbyn but I’m much more interested in policies than appearances.

JoannaObrien · 27/11/2019 16:49

@Selfsettling3

Really? pmsl Jeremy should not have gone to Specsavers

I am interested in both policies and appearance because some who looks unkempt is usually not bothered about important stuff as well

At least he did the Andrew Neil interview...........unlike Boris who chickens out of interviews when he knows they aren't going to go his way.

I have a lot of respect for him. 💁🏻‍♀️
