NC as this is identifying! But Center parks, penis beaker, cancel the cheque etc.

I’m getting married in two weeks. Quite a few things have gone wrong along the way, including replanning the whole thing at a new venue after the original one had a huge fire a few months ago.

Anyway, this is a small thing.. but one of my five bridesmaids has just told me she lost the wrap I bought for her. They’re probably going to need them on the day as it’s November!
So I went online to buy her another only to find they don’t sell them any more. I can’t seem to find anything similar.

I was wondering if any of you vipers please have one lying around that I can buy off you?
It’s the showcase, silver satin wrap from Dorothy Perkins. Link here: www.dorothyperkins.com/en/dpuk/product/showcase-silver-satin-wrap-cover-up-8456880

I appreciate this is a small problem but it would look much better if they all match. I’m honestly not a bridezilla Grin

I can't help you with the wrap but I would repost your request with the title asking if anyone can help you locate a Dorothy Perkins wrap and then it's more likely to attract the attention of people who may be able to help.

Not everyone looks at the wedding threads.

BigBairyHollocks · 21/10/2019 22:01

Bumping for you-if I was you I would just buy some new (cheap!) scarves and not worry about it.Congrats on your wedding!

IndiGHOSTHEXagon · 21/10/2019 22:05

I would either tweet or Facebook Dorothy Perkins with the description and item code explaining the problem and see if they can track one down. Someone suggested this to me with an item in next and it worked for me!

Weddinghiccup · 21/10/2019 22:06

The thing is, they’re so nice, BigBairy!
And to be honest, after moving the wedding and rearranging it all we’re out of pocket by a few thousand pounds, so I don’t really have the spare cash to spend another £75 on a load more wraps!

Thanks Room I’m off to bed shortly, but might do another post tomorrow with that title if I don’t get much response. Didn’t really think this through did I!

Buy them all different coloured wraps from the same palette. ie shade of red or whatever

Collision · 21/10/2019 22:10

How on earth did she lose it?

I hope she’s embarrassed and paying for the new one.

Weddinghiccup · 21/10/2019 22:11

Good idea Indi just tried tweeting them.

Honestly. If you are happy your husband is the right and proper man he says then seriously don't worry about the scarves.

DonKeyshot · 21/10/2019 22:12

Post again on the Style & Beauty board - if the folk there can't find it, it doesn't exist Grin

BillHadersNewWife · 21/10/2019 22:15

She probably doesn't like it. I bet she has it. She just doesn't want to wear a wrap.

Weddinghiccup · 21/10/2019 22:15

Fuck knows how she’s lost it! But me being annoyed at her is a bit of a waste of energy right now. She said she will pay for a replacement.

I like the idea of different shades but they are already all wearing different dresses in the same colour. This part of their outfit was meant to be identical to pull everything together a bit.
That Etsy one isn’t a bad shout if I can’t find the same one in the next two weeks, thank you.

Weddinghiccup · 21/10/2019 22:17

It’s not that she doesn’t like it. She helped me choose the bloody things!

LittleLongDog · 21/10/2019 22:22

What a nightmare. Surely she has it somewhere?? Sod’s law she finds it right after the wedding.

PollyShelby · 21/10/2019 22:24

Bumping in case anyone has one

pigsinarow · 21/10/2019 22:27

Some of these responses are unintentionally hilarious.
Good luck OP!

Claphands · 21/10/2019 22:29

Have a look on a EBay too

MissCharleyP · 21/10/2019 22:29

Have a look on Amazon. I just typed ‘silver wrap shawl’ into their search and it brought up a few that might cut it. Sorry, it won’t let me do a link from my phone.

fifig87 · 21/10/2019 22:30

Also try contact Debenhams, had a nose there and they used to also stock it.

RosesAndLilies · 21/10/2019 22:33

Bump

Weddinghiccup · 21/10/2019 22:33

I’ve tried EBay. No joy. I actually bought them from Debenhams so will try them too.
