What colour are these eyes?

Help settle a long-running debate please Mumsnetters!

What colour are these eyes?

Grey with flecks of hazel/ brown.

The top one is greeny-blue. The bottom one is blue.

Blue with yellow bits.

Mine are exactly the same.

Both look blue to me.

Without being too technical they are just blue eyes!

I'd probably say blue

Sort of bluey green grey with bits of brown?

I expect how they look depends on what the light is like, how the eye-owner is health wise, how dilated the pupil is, etc.

... But yes, human eyes are basically either blue or brown. Anything else (violet, Hazel, green, etc) is just being poetic.

Blue at a basic level but describe them how you like. Greenish blue. Hazel flecks etc.
I say my eyes are brown but in fact they are the same colour as my hair, auburn! Or as my brother described them as a teen 'the exact colour as a cow's eyes. And lopsided'.

They are both definitely blue flecked with brown and yellow

Just like mine OP. Technically blue/grey with flecks of yellow/brown but the overall impression is of greeny blue.

I just say my eyes are blue.

@CheshireChat yes I have quite "veiny" eyes naturally, always have... but I haven't slept more than four hours a night since DC2 was born at the start of the year, so they are looking particularly dreadful.

Think yourself lucky you can't see the rest of me!

Sometimes you need a bit more distance to tell the colour of eyes as this close you can see too much detail - further away an eye colour starts to take over
