There I said it! AIBU to find the hot weather a pain?
Too hot to do anything without becoming a sweaty mess and can’t sleep properly!
Can’t wait for lovely Autumn 🍂 cosy nights in with big mugs of hot chocolate

Er, no!!

FourEyesGood · 26/08/2019 13:43

YANBU. Horrible, sweaty, lethargic days. Roll on autumn!

Zackly · 26/08/2019 13:44

It’ll be gone soon, don’t stress Smile

NoSauce · 26/08/2019 13:44

YABU. It’s beautiful.

easyandy101 · 26/08/2019 13:45

Well you live in the ideal country if you don't like nice weather

BeyondMyWits · 26/08/2019 13:46

Not unreasonable at all....

Hot weather is great when you have nothing to do. Working in it drains the life from you whilst making you sweaty, sticky, exhausted and fed-up

I also love the cosy nights of late Autumn

SinglePringle · 26/08/2019 13:47

I adore it. Beautiful blue skies, lighter clothing, outdoors, flowers blooming, moving more slowly. It’s gorgeous.

I hate hot chocolate.

Lottiebugz22 · 26/08/2019 13:47

I'm ready for autumn too. Sick of being too hot

Worgust · 26/08/2019 13:48

I love hot weather, but we’ve just done a weekend festival and in 31 degree heat it was bloody hard work. I even struggled to drink the alcohol Shock

Ringdonna · 26/08/2019 13:51

Yes can’t wait for some rain , wind and some cold.

MerryDeath · 26/08/2019 13:51

hate it but it will be over soon. I'm grinning and bearing it. (admittedly am writing this from a yacht but i hate boats too so actually i am a Trooper)

NoSauce · 26/08/2019 13:51

Sick of being too hot?

We’ve had about 2 weeks of sun this summer. Confused

jane1956 · 26/08/2019 13:51

we get 10 months grey stuff (more sometimes) the minute the sun comes out people moan. Really??????

Vix20678 · 26/08/2019 13:54

I’m loving it today but only because I’ve given up trying to do anything and am just loafing around in the garden with DD.

sall74 · 26/08/2019 13:55

I really don't think I'm cut out for UK weather full stop.

For at least 5 months throughout the winter I suffer with SAD due to the grey, cold, miserable weather and then as soon as the temp goes above 20c I find it far too hot and uncomfortable to do anything other than stay indoors!

JacquesHammer · 26/08/2019 13:56

Hate summer. Adore autumn, winter and spring.

Can’t wait for lovely autumn days; whether that’s the greyness or the sun!

TapDanceJazzHands · 26/08/2019 14:00

I agree and never thought I'd say that! But hot summer days with 2 small children is HARD work.
Roll on Autumn... 🍁

Bubbletrouble43 · 26/08/2019 14:16

Yanbu. I'm over it. I'm having to shower at least twice a day because im perimenopausal and sweaty and I'm tired of having to lag fairskinned dd in sunblock a trillion times a day. Bring on autumn.

AloeVeraLynn · 26/08/2019 14:19

I don't like this type of heat. Give me a nice 24 ish degrees with a breeze and I'm happy but 30 and above is pushing it. I also get really bored of people saying "you must be enjoying this weather hey! You're made for it!"
(I'm mixed race. You wouldn't believe how often I get this)
It offends and amuses me at the same time Grin

Leighhalfpennysthigh · 26/08/2019 14:20

Me neither. Hate bloody summer. Apart from the cricket 🏏 of course!

Leighhalfpennysthigh · 26/08/2019 14:23

@AloeVeraLynn my late husband was Afro Caribbean heritage and had comments like that too. In winter he was also asked if he missed the heat of his home.

He was born and raised in Brixton and never set foot on Trinidad (where his mother was born, but left when she was 16 to come to England).

Hahaha88 · 26/08/2019 14:24

Omg it's like three days of heat, out of approximately 7 days total we will get this year. Be quiet and suck it up please

JacquesHammer · 26/08/2019 14:25

Be quiet and suck it up please

Why?

If you don’t like the thread topic, you could always not read. It’s not compulsory you know...

sodrained · 26/08/2019 14:26

@sall74 no idea if it's any help at all but my doctor said before people that suffer from that should take a high dose of vitamin D daily and a glass of pure orange juice daily to combat SAD. Not sure if it works but you could see if it works for you

BeyondMyWits · 26/08/2019 14:28

Be quiet and suck it up please
