There I said it! AIBU to find the hot weather a pain?
Too hot to do anything without becoming a sweaty mess and can’t sleep properly!
Can’t wait for lovely Autumn 🍂 cosy nights in with big mugs of hot chocolate

YANBU I can't wait for autumn either 🍂 37 weeks pregnant, massive, HG & I dread looking at the weather forecast at the moment!😫

shithappens123 · 26/08/2019 16:29

I don’t want to do anything in this heat, no exercise nothing. Here’s looking forward to crisp Autumn mornings with walks in the park coming home to hot buttered toast and coffee..

Yanbu. I hate the heat however I’m away on holiday and loving the heat but only because of the pool and air-con.

shithappens123 · 26/08/2019 16:42

Don’t get me wrong I like warm summer days just not this oppressive heat. Feel sorry for the pregnant ladies I remember how much worse it is to be pregnant in a heatwave 😦 ice lollies were my best friend

MrFlibblesEyes · 26/08/2019 16:43

Normally I love it but at nearly 33 weeks pregnant and with the air con in my car currently broken this hot weather can fuck right off!

MrsPellegrinoPetrichor · 26/08/2019 16:51

We’ve had about 2 weeks of sun this summer

We've had weeks of warm weather. Depends where you live.

I can cope with dry heat,it's the muggy heat I hate. This is just about bearable and cools down nicely at night.

YummyFoodie · 26/08/2019 16:55

Get used to it. Climate change etc.

shithappens123 · 26/08/2019 17:01

I think climate change is changing British summers but our houses I feel aren’t really equipped to deal with extreme heat.

May I add bowls of hot mashed potato, dishes of cheesy pasta and a slow cooker stew to the autumnal menu?
Up to 24+ I ok,27+ I am not 30+ I am a sweaty irritable hag
One my cats keeps yowling she's hot and fed up,kids getting grumpy as hot and bickering
I am so ready for a season change!!

TildaTurnip · 26/08/2019 17:07

we get 10 months grey stuff (more sometimes) the minute the sun comes out people moan. Really??????

10 months of grey stuff? Really??????

i think time off work and no kids then you can just relax and enjoy it... if you actually have to do anything it’s just too sweaty and hot and gross.

meow1989 · 26/08/2019 17:11

I like heat when I have a cocktail, a sun lounger, a pool and a book to read.

What I have is a sweaty hot and bothered 14 month old and none of the above!

I bloody hate this as day to day weather and cant wait for it to be cold, roll on cosy jumpers and bonfires and snuggling under duvets!

HappyParent2000 · 26/08/2019 17:12

Loved it but we try to do all our stuff early morning and in the evening. Just about to head out to a playpark.

Routines go out the window and we have been known to still be there at 8pm!

We all head in for a nap between 1 and 4 to avoid the worst of it. We spend some time in a cool wood today while it bakes, cake home, napped and now ready to hit the town with gusto.

I’m a stickler for bedtime except when it’s sunny out, even the most embedded routines can flex for a long play at the park!

MrsPellegrinoPetrichor · 26/08/2019 17:32

It's ok for everyone to moan when it's not sunny ,the second someone moans it's too hot people get the arse ache like they influence the weather Grin

Anchormann · 26/08/2019 17:36

It's too warm especially as I'm going through menopause and been getting hot flushes.

This weekend I've had to bake 6 cakes and freeze for use next week plus marzipan a massive fruit cake and ice 4 cake boards ready for next week. My niece is getting married and my gift is the wedding cake. My house is so hot having had the oven on so much 😟

doadeer · 26/08/2019 17:39

Where do the people live who say we've hardly had any hot weather? My DS is 7 months now and we we've had so so many hot days, at least 14 days where it's been almost 30 or over . Our house is a sun trap and we've had countless days where the temp is over 30 degrees lovely if you're lying on a beach but such a nightmare with a baby.

Dragonglass · 26/08/2019 17:41

Yes can’t wait for some rain , wind and some cold.

So just like the last month or so then? I am enjoying finally getting some nice weather during the school holidays. Although we are due for rain again tonight.

Applejack5 · 26/08/2019 17:43

YANBU

I've had enough of it. It was even worse last summer. I can't wait for Autumn!

Dragonglass · 26/08/2019 17:44

Where do the people live who say we've hardly had any hot weather?

I'm down in Devon and I don't think we've had any days when it's been 30. It's not been a great summer down here.

shithappens123 · 26/08/2019 17:46

If it rains tonight I’m doing the rain dance 😀😀

OP posts:
EggysMom · 26/08/2019 17:48

I'm normally one of the first to moan when it turns hot ... but we've had four weeks of grey, dull, most often raining here. I'm glad to see the sun. I might not like being this warm, but I know it's only for a few days, and it's a welcome relief that our son can enjoy the garden for the last week of the school holiday.

doadeer · 26/08/2019 17:48

In London it's been horrible!

purplelila2 · 26/08/2019 17:55

YANBU I absolutely hate it what's so fun about being hot sticky sweaty uncomfortable thirsty

Its miserable

shithappens123 · 26/08/2019 22:14

The weather forecast says it’s gonna be another hot one tomorrow:(
