To ask if you've ever experienced this - I CANT WEE!

ICantBloodyWee · 20/08/2019 09:22

I can't bloody wee!!

Has anyone experienced this before? For the past couple of days it's been incredibly hard for me to wee. I have to really push hard for it to come out yet I'm desperate to go! Blush

This morning it took about 5/10 minutes for me to get a full bladder out.

Do I bother a doctor with this? It doesn't hurt to wee, just doesn't want to come out!

FelixFelicis6 · 20/08/2019 09:23

Yes of course you bloody see a doctor!! Confused

itsabongthing · 20/08/2019 09:23

Yes this is totally appropriate to see the dr about, call up for an emergency appointment

GruciusMalfoy · 20/08/2019 09:24

Yea, doctor. Any changes like this should be checked.

XXcstatic · 20/08/2019 09:24

I am a doctor. Please see a doctor today.

Mummyshark2018 · 20/08/2019 09:24

Sounds like a possible kidney infection.

WhenYouCantRunYouCrawl · 20/08/2019 09:24

The only time I experienced this was in early pregnancy with my tilted uterus pressing down on my bladder in a way that stopped me from doing a wee. Any chance you might be pregnant?

What helped was weeing in a warm bath. Gross I know but it was the only way I could get relief.

You should probably see a GP though.

timshelthechoice · 20/08/2019 09:25

I had this happen once after a GA for major surgery. And it was days later! I had to be catheterised for a bit to get it moving again. You need to see a doctor.

confusedandemployed · 20/08/2019 09:25

This happened to a friend, she was admitted and catheterised straightaway, you REALLY need to see a doctor.

TenPastFugit · 20/08/2019 09:25

Not being able to pass urine is a medical emergency. Back pressure can fuck your kidneys forever! Get to A and E and they will drain your bladder for you and investigate why you can't urinate.

ICantBloodyWee · 20/08/2019 09:25

Oh wow okay! I did do a quick Google but it's mostly talking about men and enlarged prostates!

Mention of UTI but like I say there's no pain and there's no more frequency to me needing to go.

I'll see if I can get in today.

Doctor today.

Wineandchill · 20/08/2019 09:27

I had this a few years back and it was a water infection.

timshelthechoice · 20/08/2019 09:27

Don't put it off! I was pretty young when it happened and knew the surgeon as he was a friend of my ex's so when he told me I had to go in and be catheterised I thought, 'NFW!' A couple of hours later I was in agony with a very full bladder in A&E unable to take it anymore.

GreenFingersWouldBeHandy · 20/08/2019 09:28

You absolutely must see a doctor today; if you can't get a GP appointment please go to a walk in centre or A&E. If you're having kidney problems they can get very very serious, very very quickly.

Sorry, don't mean to alarm you but this is making all kinds of alarms ring for me.

blackcat86 · 20/08/2019 09:28

You really need to see someone today. Either gp or A&E if you cant get an apt. Do not delay. Try standing over the toilet and see if that helps.

YesQueen · 20/08/2019 09:29

Have you had any back pain or problems?

timshelthechoice · 20/08/2019 09:29

You just need to see someone! If they can't get you in to see a GP then see whomever and he/she will get the GP for you.

notapizzaeater · 20/08/2019 09:30

You absolutely need to see a doctor today - if you can't get in you need a and e

Cocolapew · 20/08/2019 09:32

I had this and ended up needing catheterised.

Raver84 · 20/08/2019 09:33

Yes. I keep needing but couldnt. I developed a kidney infection. The unable to wee was first sign go to your gp. I was really really ill.

Howshelaughed · 20/08/2019 09:33

From experience I would go to the Dr asap. Do not leave this. It will become so painful. I left it so long the first time I had a catheter for 2 weeks to get my bladder working again. The 2nd time it happened I went straight to A&E, was on my hands & knees begging them to catheterise me. The relief is unbelievable. You need to get this sorted asap.

IsobelRae23 · 20/08/2019 09:35

Appointment ASAP- when you phone don’t just say you are having difficulty? Please explain that you can’t empty your bladder, and it’s painful. If they won’t give you one A&E

Kam610 · 20/08/2019 09:36

You should definitely see a Dr.
Are you constipated? Sometimes if you're clogged up it can press on the urethra and prevent urine from being able to pass.

LemonPrism · 20/08/2019 09:37

Only when I've been on MDMA. My sympathies it's horrendous
