themoon66 · 05/08/2007 00:26

Oh am off to bed.

lillaura123 · 05/08/2007 00:28

i didnt mean retrain at what he is doing i meant retrain as something else (my mistake for not being specific ) - as for money in meantime _ we r sensible and have saved nest eggs

OP posts:
lillaura123 · 05/08/2007 00:29

excuse me - what do u mean fuck off - why dont you its my thread

OP posts:
TheQueenOfQuotes · 05/08/2007 00:30

well lucky for you that he's in a well paid job where you've been able to save, and where he's well looked after.....just think of the poor posties who work very long and unsociable hours, get treated like SH*T and struggle to support there families. No chance of saving money, so no chance to re-train

UCM · 05/08/2007 00:30

Laura, is there anything on here tonight that you feel has been worth saying?

Or do you just feel that the postmen striking is wrong.

When you get your mail delivered once a fortnight, as this could happen. Will you wish you had listened to the postal workers, who have the right to strike or will you sit back and say 'I am really fucking pissed off that my giro hasn't arrived and I have to pick it up'.

Because that is where your thinking will leave you & your partner.

TheQueenOfQuotes · 05/08/2007 00:30

"my thread" - this is PUBLIC forum.....

lillaura123 · 05/08/2007 00:32

my dh is on far from good money he just works we save what we can and obviously we are sensible to do this

he could work for crap money and crap conditions but chooses not to

OP posts:
UCM · 05/08/2007 00:33

There is no point getting angry about this QoQ, people get angry with me.

Laura feels that, at 22, with 3 children, she is very experienced in life and to be honest I don't blame her, she has one more than me.

We live & learn.

Before I go and cause absolute anarchy on another thread. Hee hee.

lillaura123 · 05/08/2007 00:34

id never claim giro - if he couldnt work i would - how dare you assume u know my standard of living. striking will eventually finish RM there is no doubt about that - there are always alternatives if it happens - see who will be claiming giro then

OP posts:
UCM · 05/08/2007 00:34

Will you have this discussion with him Laura?

themoon66 · 05/08/2007 00:36

Well.. good job somebody 'chooses' to work for crap money then laura, coz otherwise you'd have no post, no hospitals, no public transport, no social services, nobody to dig your grave.

UCM · 05/08/2007 00:37

Laura, it will not be me. I am a very strong Union member who strikes when my union says strike. I don't always agree with the reasons but I know that if I ever let them down, I will be accepting giros as the big fat cat bosses will just wash their hands of us all and let the government deal with it.

The way things are going at the moment isn't looking that good for any of us working class. But thank God that unions have argued reasonable working rules for all of us.

lillaura123 · 05/08/2007 00:38

UCM - there is the answer i was looking for you dont agree with me u dont disagree with me you have your own thoughts

and yes this is a public forum - so nobody should at anytime feel bullied or wrng for the opinions they have - and being told to fuck off - i ean really if thats the best you can come up with

as for life experience i also agree that we live and learn obviously we have mlived and learnt in different ways some hard some not

btw i meant that this is my topic on the forum so its a bit rude really isnt it

oh and bk to who said rover was a crap product is that the same as RM being a crap servise

OP posts:
themoon66 · 05/08/2007 00:38

www.tuc.org.uk/ read at your leisure laura.

lillaura123 · 05/08/2007 00:40

oh and if the unions are so great why are they still fighting

OP posts:
UCM · 05/08/2007 00:40

Thanks Moon66 for your continued support. I have tried my fucking utmost to explain to Laura that she owes the 'standard of living' that she currently has to unions etc but she thinks I am being nasty.

For once in my life I am not....

I know how Sophable feels now.

Lileth · 05/08/2007 00:40

Well, after 24+ hours of exposure on numerous threads, the petition is hardly groaning under the weight of support from sympathisers.

Why do you think that is, laura?

themoon66 · 05/08/2007 00:41

The RM is not a crap product. No private company would deliver in all weathers to out of the way rural addresses at a loss.

Do a little research please.

And I would never tell you to fuck off.... I just want to try and open your eyes a little bit if possible. Honest.

TheQueenOfQuotes · 05/08/2007 00:41

you don't get it do you laura - the posties get paid so badly all the "sensible" spending in the world means that most can't afford to save.

UCM · 05/08/2007 00:42

Laura, I never told you to fuck off.

The unions are still fighting for the same reason that your parcel didn't arrive.

Postmen are delivering the post and they are not happy with their working conditions, so they got together and said 'Fuck you Laura, we are going to really piss you off'

lillaura123 · 05/08/2007 00:42

i really couldnt care - my views are still the same oh and once again baaaaaaaaaaa that means goodnight in followers language but youd probably know that already

OP posts:
lillaura123 · 05/08/2007 00:43

no Aitch told me to fuck off

OP posts:
TheQueenOfQuotes · 05/08/2007 00:43

"oh and if the unions are so great why are they still fighting"

because, despite their past victories, better standards of working and pay should be the NORM, not just for the fortunate.
