There is A LOT of craziness over A LOT of posts tonight 😁

Is everyone ok???

It’s terrible for me to admit, but it’s quite refreshing reading cut throat replies rather than the mundane bitchiness I often see on MN!

Happy Sunday 😂💖

Cabin fever because of non stop bastard rain?

SomeAfternoonDelight · 11/08/2019 21:19

It has been relentless. It’s rarely none stop like it has been today. I think that’s a perfectly reasonable explanation, I’m going to keep sorting through them whilst it lasts.
MUHAHA!

Continuous rain has seriously added to our miserable weekend!

Also feel really poorly.

Weekend has been a write off

ToEarlyForDecorations · 11/08/2019 21:26

Nope, been a pretty good weekend.

Just watching Who Do you think you are with Jack Whitehall and his Dad. After eating a lovely roast dinner with wine followed by chocolate gateau and ice cream.

NDN have returned from their holidays. Their kids are on time for the, 'staircase Olympics' which usually start around 9.20pm for about an hour.

I mean, they're on holiday from school. So, nobody else needs to go to sleep. Obvs.

All good.

thegreenlight · 11/08/2019 21:26

Had a lovely weekend - weather was reasonable in the midlands though and had a brilliant day at a theme park today and the bit of rain Saturday was a great excuse to stay in and order pizza! Maybe all unhappy posters are in the same geographical area?

LookingAtTheLovelyTrees · 11/08/2019 21:26

We've had a great weekend. We’ve been out the whole time. Not that rainy here. South East. Hiking yesterday. Big picnic gathering today.

Sexnotgender · 11/08/2019 21:29

Had a fairly rubbish weekend.
Teething baby with a streaming cold and a dog who injured himself and had to take the big idiot to the vet. He’s back in first thing tomorrow for an X-ray Sad

catspyjamas27 · 11/08/2019 21:30

Shit weekend here. Dp unwell and feeling sorry for himself, kids feral, dog a knobhead. Weather shit and no money to do anything. Roll on work tomorrow

SomeAfternoonDelight · 11/08/2019 21:32

@Nottodayx hopefully you feel better tomorrow and it isn’t a bug!!

@ToEarlyForDecorations ive held an olympics myself but with me and my dog. It involved a washing basket, me and the dog. She absolutely loved it. Though the staircase olympics sounds a lot more testing. Glad you haven’t had the terrible weather. And mmmmmmm chocolate.

@thegreenlight agreed. Up North most likely??

@LookingAtTheLovelyTrees that is normally what my weekend consists of, but instead it has been Overturned by a serious hangover!

Weather ok here. Breakfast yesterday in the garden of local stately home and outside sweeping the garden today. Lovely homemade dinners (cooked by DH and DD), nice wine, got on top of reading a pile of mags and newsletters, everyone in a good mood. Starting to plan ahead for week in Norfolk

SomeAfternoonDelight · 11/08/2019 21:34

@Sexnotgender oh no poor baby! In regards to the dog - they are arseholes mind. Mine hasn’t been eating their food and holding out for human food which I have had to give her because I can’t bare to see her not eat. It’s a terrible trap she leads me into! Hope he’s okay!

Lovely weekend here. Both kids' birthdays, trip into London, another trip to the coast (BIG waves due to storm), precious time with my ill dad, and then a wonderful extended-family party. Lazy day doing absolutely nothing today, apart from a conscience-salving hour in the gym.

SomeAfternoonDelight · 11/08/2019 21:35

@catspyjamas27 hahahahaha Work sounds like a perfect relief

We had sun today - I got burnt! - my parents are staying so the kids have been overindulged. I am exhausted obvs. Off to bed now, need a rest from the weekend 😫

tealandteal · 11/08/2019 21:38

We've had a pretty good weekend, DS went to his first birthday party for a little friend and it was mega cute. Pizza with friends on Saturday night was lovely. I did vastly overestimate the amount of laundry I could dry in weather like this though. There is washing hanging on every surface and I'm hoping something semi decent is dry for work tomorrow!

Catgranny · 11/08/2019 21:39

Have had an amazing weekend in the far north of Scotland. Weather was a bit rubbish ( got soaked a couple of times ) but braved it and played boules and flew a kite on the beach.... heavenly. Couple of glasses of rec wine and feeling ready for bedGrin

thenightsky · 11/08/2019 21:41

Cabin fever because of non stop bastard rain?

Not here... weather has been fab.

Disfordarkchocolate · 11/08/2019 21:42

Travelled down to see my wonderful granddaughter. Today has been pretty perfect, roll on tomorrow.

Pinkarsedfly · 11/08/2019 21:46

I’ve had a heinous weekend. Not going to go into great detail, but it involved an ambulance, an elderly relative and various bodily fluids.

Roll on Monday.

P1nkHeartLovesCake · 11/08/2019 21:47

No rain here but the wind has been awful, so strong so haven’t been out much,

Me and dh only have toddlers so easier to entertain at home I suppose? We baked, watched films, hand painting. Then me and dh drank wine and ate nice food in the evenings.

Lovely weekend all in all. Then dh works mon-fri so weekends are always enjoyed as it’s our time all together 😍😍

Allmyarseandpeggymartin · 11/08/2019 21:49

Half way through the summer holidays? Maybe that’s it

Laiste · 11/08/2019 21:51

SO much rain today. Midlands. All.fecking.day. Never seen anything like it tbh.

I had to pull over in the car as the rain was so hard (30/40 mph limit road). The cars in front and behind me did too. I've been driving for over 30 years - rain snow + ice on motorways ect, doesn't bother me. This was a first.

Just had to get that out.

HappyParent2000 · 11/08/2019 21:51

We had a brilliant weekend which included 5 plus house in a wood climbing on amazing play structures followed by a Birthday party at a park which included a huge thunderstorm and massive rain shower. Only minutes before we had been in the paddling pool and splash pad!

Also got chased around by 6 four year olds while trying to get my one to play a game of tag.

YouokHun · 11/08/2019 21:54

I completely misread that as “AIBU to think everyone’s had a SHIT this weekend”. I was thinking, ‘well of course they have, normal human function, you weirdo’. Glad I didn’t post a response too quickly Blush

Middling weekend here. Teenage DC have eaten a bar of chocolate I had saved up for myself for this evening which is a bit of a blow ...

SomeAfternoonDelight · 11/08/2019 21:57

@YouokHun HAHAHAHAHAH actually laughing. I wouldn’t be so sure... bowel movements are for a different thread all together for me 😂🤢
