There is A LOT of craziness over A LOT of posts tonight 😁

Is everyone ok???

It’s terrible for me to admit, but it’s quite refreshing reading cut throat replies rather than the mundane bitchiness I often see on MN!

Happy Sunday 😂💖

DC were with the 'D'F for the weekend, so I caught up on sleep. I literally slept away the weekend Grin.

pinkelephantsanddietcoke · 11/08/2019 21:59

I'm on annual leave from work and so Ill it's unreal. Had to cancel our night out last night Sad

SomeAfternoonDelight · 11/08/2019 22:01

This thread has turned into a little slice of positivity!

I’m currently cooking tea for myself, and the dog. Getting my hair finally done tomorrow. I saved a friend and their family in a car breakdown today picked them up and took them home! Did a lot of chores. Had a pretty mental situation over the weekend which is very outing so I can’t really discuss but it’s GRIM! Awaiting DP to come home tomorrow after having a pretty emotionally challenging week Blurgh! Feeling a lot better now though. Thank fuck.

I've managed to catch some bastarding virus which is making me fuzzy headed, dim witted, short tempered and nauseated within an inch of me doing a runner and starting winter hibernation early. Bloody germs.

Mumof2bears · 11/08/2019 22:02

Mixed weekend weatherwise here (Cambridge). Sunshine and showers taking it in turns thanks to the wind. Yesterday I went to London with my dad to a music event (birthday present) so had a child-free day Smile followed by a pretty quiet day today. Just finished a box of birthday choccies which the kids knew were therefore Mummy's and not for general hovering by all and sundry Grin.

HazelBite · 11/08/2019 22:04

Had some devastating news at the weekend, my family is never going to be the same again.
Supposed to be having a happy family get together next weekend, and pretend none of this is happening.

SomeAfternoonDelight · 11/08/2019 22:06

@HazelBite if you need to talk about it PP 💐

In the trending box on my laptop, this thread comes up as,

'AIBU to think that everyone's had a shit'

I was thinking that you were definitely NBU.

BishopofBathandWells · 11/08/2019 22:06

Failed my driving test again and got caught in a fucking enormous downpour a few hours later. So skint am scrolling through MN posts on matched betting and dreaming of a lottery win. Need a haircut and to lose five stone. So naturally I had a frozen pizza for dinner with a massive dollop of mayonnaise on top, and a large red wine. Can't wait to see the back of this summer, never mind the weekend!

Allmyarseandpeggymartin · 11/08/2019 22:07

@YouokHun How immense would a thread on toilet trips? If only we didn’t have that weird poo/pee troll who hangs around.

It would be like the sister thread to “what have you eaten today”

I’ve been three times this morning wonder if it’s cos I had a row with DMIL or cos I ate three penguins and a Sara Lee chocolate gateau.

SomeAfternoonDelight · 11/08/2019 22:08

@Allmyarseandpeggymartin @YouokHun id love it. I thankfully have friendship group of girls who all have similar bowel problems so it’s an open book 😂

Has it rained? I honestly haven't noticed!
Spent yesterday with my extended family who had put together a big hamper for DS1 to take to uni with him. I was really touched at the gesture, pointed out that he might not get the grades yet and they just said "well at least he's tried his best".
Had take away pizza and watched film last night.
Spent today out with DD shopping and returned home to find that DH and the lads had done the weeks shopping, made a roast dinner and ironed me a weeks supply of uniforms.
Just completed an online work module that I was dreading and scored 100per cent.
Cant remember having such a lovely weekend for quite a while.

YouokHun · 11/08/2019 22:09

HazelBite sorry to read that, life turns on a sixpence doesn’t it? Flowers

MissConductUS · 11/08/2019 22:11

Love!y summer weather this weekend in New York. Did some gardening and cleaning. DH and DS will start the bbq any minute.😊

DerelictWreck · 11/08/2019 22:14

What rain?!

Had a great weekend sorting out my house - all those odd little jobs which never seem to get done. Feeling very smug now Grin

Theworldcouldbemymollusc · 11/08/2019 22:14

Total shit weekend here. Spent 10 days straight writing assignments for my masters. Now exhausted and strung out. Been sobbing in bed tonight trying not to text stbxh as I feel so lonely and sad. I can't wait until I submit these feckers in the morning so I can try and do something/anything nice and build myself a new single life rather than sobbing

Ah-ha Limt that’s probably why I went off down the wrong path. Please don’t let me derail this thread because I can’t read, though Allmyarse three penguins and a WHOLE Sara Lee Gateau, you deserve everything that’s coming to you ;)

I’m not that troll btw, just an illiterate. As you were.

gettingbacktoresearch · 11/08/2019 22:17

Really shit weekend here! Last night my son (20) was jumped in our front garden (at 00:30) and had his wallet and keys taken and then they took his pride and Joy (10 year old Mercedes he got 3 weeks ago) so we had the police here for two hours taking statements etc.... he’s not seriously hurt but they had our front door key too so we’ve had to run around trying to sort that! Thankfully we had a message this evening that they’d recovered the car and had one of the bastards in for questioning but no idea where they caught them, the state of the car, any news on the other belongs or our key! Just have to wait and see so I’m now so tired and worried about being here in what is supposed to be a rather naice area of our city!

MargotLovedTom1 · 11/08/2019 22:19

What rain??! What. Rain???! The rain that has hammered down, without stopping, from sparrow's bloody fart and is still going now, that's what bloody rain. Wink

Thoughts to all the people going through real shit though.

perrieryay · 11/08/2019 22:22

I stayed in bed (headache from juice detox) and read a book on an Italian serial killer. Would've been even better if I had given in to my takeaway craving today.

Ragwort · 11/08/2019 22:22

Pretty good weekend here, quite a bit of rain but still managed a nice walk, drinks at a lovely riverside pub, family visit with young cousins which made a nice change from grumpy teenagers, picnic today, BBQ in the evening, (ate inside Grin), board games and an early night with Mumsnet- very relaxed, and a day off tomorrow so not even having to think about going back to work.

Spinnaret · 11/08/2019 22:23

Been a great weekend here. Cricket all day yesterday - both boys got to play, younger one's last match of the season, won their league. Older one playing an adult match, age 13, took his first wicket. DH was umpiring. I sat and drank wine.

Today, lazy lie-in, took sons to tutoring while I walked dog along the river. Then went to crazy golf for a laugh this afternoon.

takesnoshitfromanyone · 11/08/2019 22:25

It's been quite productive. I've been working non-stop and am quite pleased with my work.

Sundancer77 · 11/08/2019 22:33

Mmm, bit of a mix..pretty much non-stop arguing with dp..buuuut, nice time by the pool this afternoon, dd almost stood up on her own on the grass. Sunset toastie, chips and Capriosca by the sea..but still shit loads of arguing, which I’m trying to ignore 🙄
