There is A LOT of craziness over A LOT of posts tonight 😁

Is everyone ok???

It’s terrible for me to admit, but it’s quite refreshing reading cut throat replies rather than the mundane bitchiness I often see on MN!

Happy Sunday 😂💖

We spent most of last night listening to our NDN's blasting out Queen and 80s dance music until 2am. And listening to people old enough to know better HAW HAW HAWing in the garden and talking about sex...... vom. There isn't one of them under 50.......

We have lived here 22 years and imagined growing old here. But that all changed when these wankers moved in 2 years ago. We've spent today on RightMove trying to set a location area to look for a new house. I'm just done with living next to such selfish obnoxious twats.

I feel sad angry and depressed tonight, though I appreciate others have far worse to deal with.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 11/08/2019 22:40

Yep, its been shit here. Spent all afternoon in A&E with my dad who was cleaning the roof of the conservatory and fell off the ladder, cracking his head open in the process. He's got a bleed on the brain and haematoma in his neck, waiting for neurosurgeon to see him now.

I can't stop laughing at how this thread title looks in 'Trending', especially with 'DH just exploded' underneath it Grin Grin

Fine here 🙂. Visiting my lovely in-laws for the weekend, weather pleasant, dog zonked in front of the telly, several glasses of wine consumed. All is good 😊

Rachelover40 · 11/08/2019 23:01

I'll have to be more observant.

We've had no rain today if anyone's interested. It was breezy but fairly warm.

Dowser · 11/08/2019 23:07

Had a lot of rain yesterday afternoon so didn’t go out
Today was much brighter so went to york where it stayed dry
Feel like I’m starind down autumn in the face though

Mid August..sounds about right.

Dowser · 11/08/2019 23:08

Omg Gretchen...hope he’s ok

Lonelykettleshed · 11/08/2019 23:08

Shit one here - arranging DM's funeral. For those that had a terrible weekend, I can only hope that the next week will be better. For those that had a great weekend, I'm glad, may your next weekend be just as special.

Dowser · 11/08/2019 23:11

I had some awful neighbours for 5 years
When she saw a rat run under our decking, she probably thought I’d have the heebie jeebies
I just said next doors chickens probably attracted it
They were out less than 6 months after it
Can you get a couple of rats?

Lol @ WorraLiberty!

@BishopofBathandWells Flowers

My wk end has been much needed and lovely. Long boozy lunch out yesterday by the river and lazy day reading today. Finally got desperately needed housework done this evening and enjoying a nice glass of wine and AIBU now. Lots of down time before I start 2nd wk of very busy new job. No rain here (London).

SomeAfternoonDelight · 11/08/2019 23:18

@Lonelykettleshed I’m so so sorry I can’t begin to imagine the pain your facing 💐

We've had a really shit weekend,it's my time of the month and for some unknown reason I keep bleeding like I've just had a baby so I've spent nearly all of the weekend in bed to ill to get up.

DD11 has been a sodding nightmare and her poor Dad has threatened to walk out, before anyone gets the wrong idea she is autistic and since I became ill and disabled my DH is looking after our 5DC and me pretty much on his own and she has started having sodding tantrums(and know we know it's not to do with her autism)and not sleeping again and he's running on empty!

Were taking her out to buy the new stuff she needs for secondary school tomorrow and I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that she's happier and we get a bit of a break.

HemlockStarglimmer · 11/08/2019 23:40

Worked 3-7pm yesterday with a vile sore throat and stiff neck. Had 1-1 with the manager which stressed me a lot even though it was quite positive.
Throat worse today and glands are swollen.
My husband has the same cold and we are competing to see which of us is the illest. 🤒😷
Must be me because he's prepared all the meals and washed up. 👨🏼‍🍳

flatshoes · 11/08/2019 23:46

Windy and cool up north but a wonderful weekend for reasons that will never be revealed

PickAChew · 11/08/2019 23:48

RumbleDoll · 12/08/2019 00:02

Friends down for a very long weekend.
Activities cancelled because of the bloody weather.
I'm acting as, chauffeur, cook, washer upper, general dogsbody.
No offers of help, sitting in front of damn tv, watching mindless crap.
Oh dear, think the fuse has just blown, whoops, silly me.
Trying so hard to keep my cool.
Two more nights, never, ever again will I let anyone stay.
Not unless Robert Plant or Bruce Springsteen knocked at the door.
Would be rude to refuse. In my world, anyway.

PickAChew · 12/08/2019 00:03

DH has spent the day obsessing about the state of the driveway and the leaky garage. After sweeping the puddles off the drive while it was still raining, he said he was trying to stop the house from flooding.

I gave him this look Hmm

He said, OK, not the house, since it's over a foot off the ground. The garage, maybe.

He's at work, tomorrow, thank fuck.

Spent 6 hours driving home from a 10day holiday at my sister's yesterday. Got home shattered & expecting a tip as grandsons have been staying & had their 3 cats & 7 kittens here - but they had tidied & cats gone elsewhere before I got back with dog. They are here cos they lost their house & all possessions in a house fire on Thursday. The 18yr old was only one home & rescued the dog - someone had set shed next to door alight, he smelled smoke, opened door & flames shot in...he is so lucky to be unhurt. He rescued dog but had to leave cats to firemen. Was so happy to see him ok last night. Today visited his younger siblings, & answered loads of messages from people wanting to donate things to my DD34 & her 5 kids. My DD10 has spent all day on xbox - obv missed it on hol!
Tomorrow going to help DD34 collect donations & go through her house.

kateandme · 12/08/2019 00:20

HelpIcantfindaname · 12/08/2019 11:52

Thank you kateandme. Glad your cousins are safe too. Fire is so scarey. People are amazingly kind though...just heard both secondary schools are replacing the new uniform which was lost...my granddaughters is even giving her money to get new shoes, socks etc.

Signifyingnothing · 12/08/2019 11:54

Shite weekend. After having our offer on our dream home accepted on Friday, or buyers pulled out Saturday morning because they'd seen 'something better'. Arseholes.

SomeAfternoonDelight · 12/08/2019 17:54
