To think that sometimes MNHQ should leave an obvious troll post to stand

YANBU

PutyourtoponTrevor · 10/08/2019 12:58

Mean but yes 😁

Bettyboopityboop · 10/08/2019 12:59

Trolling the troll, like trollception?

Oysterbabe · 10/08/2019 12:59

Giving them attention just encourages more.

Bravelurker · 10/08/2019 13:00

But some people are so earnest and have absolutely no idea that they are being trolled and pour our heart and soul into their thoroughly thought out pearls of wisdom.
This has in no way ever happened to me btw BlushHmm.

Cornettoninja · 10/08/2019 13:01

There are a couple of forums that have ‘troll pits’, so just a board where they all get moved to.

I suppose it hides them in plain sight rather than the majority of users having no clue who they are but then most forums don’t allow the name changing so frequently.

VforVienetta · 10/08/2019 13:03

I like the idea of a Troll Pit.

swissmilk · 10/08/2019 13:04

I like the idea of a troll pit....Grin
I assume as the daily fail and others pick up the stories on here with such frequency MNHQ have to remove the troll posts in case of that...eg papers thinking posts are genuine and reporting them as such, when they are clearly not?

Socksontheradiator · 10/08/2019 13:07

Are we talking about Margaret's poor trampled baby here? Grin

FeegleFion · 10/08/2019 13:09

YANBU. Another vote for the ‘troll pit’ Grin

ThrowThoseCurtainsWide · 10/08/2019 13:10

I like the sound of a Troll Pit too! Some of them are amusing Grin

Work12 · 10/08/2019 13:17

I was really getting into the poor Margaret's baby that shat itself

Galaxygirl93 · 10/08/2019 13:19

I was coming back to check on the Margaret and baby thread and it was gone! What happened? Did she reply at all?

Whatafackinliberty · 10/08/2019 13:20

They leave the vast majority of obvious trolling to stand as it is.

littlepaddypaws · 10/08/2019 13:20

sock hardly amusing if genuine, she was really worried and upset, a bit ott admittedly but still upset.

Chunkers · 10/08/2019 13:24

@work21 I know, me too! I was flipping the page and then... troll alert!

I did love the response MNHQ gave to another Troll this morning along the lines of... surely you have better things to do like giving your sheets a boil wash. That one should go in classics!

colourlessgreenidea · 10/08/2019 13:26

Oh come on! How on earth could ANYONE have thought that was genuine?! It was obvious shite from the very first line! Grin

kateandme · 10/08/2019 13:30

Socksontheradiator fucking hell yes.i was taken in again!

ZebraMammy17 · 10/08/2019 13:32

What's everyone's favourite troll post? Some put a lot of effort into them

CatstorTroy · 10/08/2019 13:37

One more vote for the "troll pit"!

Tonnerre · 10/08/2019 13:39

Didn't anyone else wonder why the fact that Margaret was a teacher meant that the only time she could take her toddler to Saturday soft play was during the summer holidays?

IwantedtobeEmmaPeel · 10/08/2019 13:40

I like the idea of a Troll Pit.

AngrySquid · 10/08/2019 13:40
Grin Yanbu.
LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 10/08/2019 13:42

I really hope they don't. Quietly removing them and taking away their fun is the way to go. Why would we want a 'troll pit'? It unbelievable enough as it is here sometimes. Not everyone wants to make the time to engage with the twats.

practicallyperfectwithprosecco · 10/08/2019 13:42

So there was no trampled baby?
