My DH installed the roller blind in the bathroom like that. Beat that.

I had my blinds made to measure and then fitted by the same company, the man still put them in the wrong way round. It has haunted me for 4 years now.

DH and DD do this. I just turn it round as soon as I notice

I would do but they only do massive ones and they require planning permission. I don't want to annoy my neighbours but they do smoke weed all the time and it wafts through my window...

Have you gone NC with MIL? I know it's hard but you need to put DC first and tell them this isn't OK.
