Staying with a friend.

I can't even.

Do I fix it?

Do I tell them how wrong this is?

Do I end the friendship?

If DP did this I'd obviously LTB.

Unless... am I wrong? Have I been doing this wrong all my life?

SEND HELP.

Oh dear god! You need to end this friendship right now. I agree, a scream in the Sistine chapel might help too....

MrsTommyBanks · 29/07/2019 10:19

She didn't invite DS/DD (delete as appropriate - I don't actually have any yet) to her DCs party so I'm already pretty hurt tbh

She didn't invite your eggs? Seriously, when someone shows you who they are, believe them.
Stop putting yourself through these traumas. You are worth more than this.

Bookworm4 · 29/07/2019 10:20

This is the correct way😉 Stops excessive unravelling 👍🏼

MarianaMoatedGrange · 29/07/2019 10:21

She didn't invite your eggs?

Ha! I think we've got the measure of this person now. Not someone I'd call a 'friend'.

ThatCurlyGirl · 29/07/2019 10:22

@TheGrapefulDread

I guess I just feel like I can't compromise on this one.

Sometimes it takes something like this to realise you're just incompatible and have different values.

I've only had this type of situation once before but that friend had put the blinds on their window the wrong way - which would obviously the right way around for the item in question this time.

That time it was just so obviously wrong that it was easier to let go IYSWIM.

I really appreciate all the support on here, I'm barricaded in the guest room now messaging DP for support but he is at his £150k job so understandably busy.

Not funny if you have OCD. My friend also cleaned my bathroom and was v embarrassed as couldn't help themself!

CatkinToadflax · 29/07/2019 10:23

Unless the loo roll snapped and farted then this didn't happen.

CustardySergeant · 29/07/2019 10:23

I feel shaky and tearful, that photo was such a shock. Why on earth didn't you put a warning in the thread title, OP? So irresponsible! Angry

Stillstrawberrywater · 29/07/2019 10:23

This is right way. The benefit being it stops toddlers unravelling the loo roll. What benefit is there from hanging it the right way?

MrsTommyBanks · 29/07/2019 10:27

What benefit is there from hanging it the right way?
It being the right way obvs.

flumpybear · 29/07/2019 10:28

We have a free standing holder where the rolls sit on their side - no craziness here with silly loo roll directions Wink

Stillstrawberrywater · 29/07/2019 10:31

When typos make you feel an idiot Confused

I meant, what are the benefits of hanging it the way in the photo?

foreverhanging · 29/07/2019 10:32

My husband turns every toilet roll around when he uses the toilet. I turn it back again when I do. It drives me completely insane and I'm sure he does it to wind me up.

fraxion · 29/07/2019 10:32

I once dated someone who changed the loo roll to the wrong way every bloody time he was at mine 🤬. He got dumped!

ThatCurlyGirl · 29/07/2019 10:33

Fuck it, I might fly to Maui. I don't deserve this.

OMG he's not my ex is he 🤣

foreverhanging · 29/07/2019 10:34

@fraxion haha I highly doubt it but it's not entirely impossible!

EstuaryBird · 29/07/2019 10:35

DP and I have been having a silent war about this for 28 years! He favours the Under (WRONG) way while I know that Over is the Only Way.
Each time one of us goes to the loo we’ll change it round....we’ve never said a word but we’ll do it until we’re dead Grin.
Funnily he never changes it on holiday, when it is always hung Correctly, only at home....keeps us amused I suppose!

StoppinBy · 29/07/2019 10:36

It should go the other way - when you have it coming from over the roll you don't get that long dangly bit of toilet paper like you have in your photo, it tears off neatly..... can't believe all the people who don't know this.... education is key LMAO.

SD1978 · 29/07/2019 10:37

Passive aggressively turn it back round.....then use the whole roll in a day. Wait for it to be replaced, then do the same again.....only choice.

ThatCurlyGirl · 29/07/2019 10:37

@fraxion

Does their name begin with J?

No... D. Blimey is it a man thing 😂

TheDogsMother · 29/07/2019 10:40

That's ruined my day

ThatCurlyGirl · 29/07/2019 10:41

@EstuaryBird

He knows you won't confront him on holiday and make a fuss. He's letting you know it's a conscious choice at home and he doesn't care about your feelings. Textbook narcissist.

Next time ask your holiday rep for support - pack your suitcase and move rooms in the night if you have to.

Thinking of you and sending unmumsnetty hugs 😉Thanks

Burn the house down, it's the only way

Judging by the mark on it, it looks like the OP's already tried this.
