I always donate when they're fundraising locally.

Bezalelle · 26/07/2019 16:20

Yes! My DP was once a hunt sab. Bloody love him for it.

Lexilooo · 26/07/2019 16:21

If you think people who deliberately frighten and injure animals are heros.........

FurnitureAndBackgammon · 26/07/2019 16:22

Yep 👏🏻

littlepaddypaws · 26/07/2019 16:23

so it's okay to frighten, injure and teat foxes apart lexi Hmm i wouldn't call them heroes by any stretch of the imagination, but i'm all for sabbing

littlepaddypaws · 26/07/2019 16:23

tear foxes apart

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 26/07/2019 16:23

What is the difference between a hunt observer and a sab?

FishCanFly · 26/07/2019 16:24

Yes! My DP was once a hunt sab. Bloody love him for it.
I'm so tempted to join. but i'm such an inner-city dweller - i wouldn't be much use.

My parents in law run a hunt. I hate it. 😧😧

CookPassBabtridge · 26/07/2019 16:25

They have saved many foxes lives. We can see some hunts in the distance sometimes from our window and you can see the hunt get called off all the time due to sabs. Good on them!

FishCanFly · 26/07/2019 16:25

Not just foxes - any wildlife and people's pets who get in the way. Blood sports should be completely banned.

Hmm, maybe slip a little arsenic in their Sunday roast? 🤣

Jengacritical · 26/07/2019 16:35

Nope, lots of dogs and horses injured by hunt sabs. Apparently harming some animals is ok in the name of sabotage. I’m not a hunt supporter by any stretch but I don’t agree with the actions of some sabs.

Pippinsqueak · 26/07/2019 16:49

No they are not heroes. I am all for observing, reporting illegal activity etc but I am against them being physically or verbally abusive, grabbing horses reins which is dangerous for animals and all humans, disrupting scent hunts which confuses the hounds and threatening businesses and families.

I am against hunting with dogs before anyone starts. Leave it to the law to sort out and we know that police need to be more proactive so focus your efforts on getting more police involvement.

BoneyBackJefferson · 26/07/2019 16:50

Not heroes, they are no better than those they hate.

Lexilooo · 26/07/2019 16:51

Two wrongs don't make a right littlepaddypaws

There are ways of protesting hunting without putting horses, hounds or people at risk.

Madfrogs · 26/07/2019 16:51

Yes because hero’s are people who trespass and get angry and abusive to other people and risking horses lives. Just the type of people to support and put on a pedestal. 🤨

How about you just report it like a normal decent law abiding human being rather than using a cause to let out your inner abusive wanker.

Saucery · 26/07/2019 16:53

I also admire people who stamp Larsen traps into useless bits of twisted metal Smile

compulsiveliar2019 · 26/07/2019 16:53

Nope definitely not heroes!

Friends horse was stabbed on the face by a dab last winter - neither friend nor her horse hunt but there were some horses (owned by others) who were taken drag hunting.

On another occasion they almost pulled friend off of her horses whilst she was out hacking - again she was nothing to do with the hunt and had her young daughter with her.
I've know several other people with horses with similar stories to tell and at no time did the sabs show any regards for the animals present or children they terrified.

They are not animal lovers they are criminals out to cause chaos in the countryside and should be banned. By all means protest the hunt but do not put innocent children or animals in harms way!

Madfrogs · 26/07/2019 16:53

By that I mean the sabs are just using a cause to let out the hidden interval abusive wankers they really are.

MadamePompadour · 26/07/2019 16:54

I don't believe that sabs injure any hounds or horses....I reckon that's a lie put round by hunters.

Ive seen a video of sabs running into a duel carriageway to try and save hounds after the hunt master lost control of them. The sabs were more upset than the hunters when one of the hounds was killed.

Ive seen videos of hunters ride their horses purposefully at sabs and yes a sab has grabbed the reins to try and stop the horse trampling on them....again the rider's fault.

Megan2018 · 26/07/2019 16:55

No!
Sabs are mainly scum who are just out for a fight, any fight will do, they don't care about animals they are just fighting against anyone and anything.

I have watched them run over a hound on purpose - pull a small child off their pony and deliberately send hounds onto traffic on an A road with a decoy horn.

Some of them are also so dim that they protest at bloodhounding on Sundays too....

They are just violent thugs.

compulsiveliar2019 · 26/07/2019 16:55

Madame so my friend is lying is she?!!!

The witness evidence and cctv must be wrong too then!!!

DeepDarkWoods · 26/07/2019 16:58

I wonder if you are true to your name, compulsiveliar?
