Sounds terrible, compulsiveliar. Very unusual for a hunt slab to stab a horse in the face. I expect it made the local paper at least?

My cousins a hunt sab. She prides herself on pulling a young girl (ages 12/13) from her horse and breaking her arm. Girls parents have pressed charges. Cousin thinks this is outrageous as she never assaulted anyone.

Hunting can be a dangerous business. Especially for those innocent bystanders who just happen to rock up on a horse and be unfairly targeted

Sabs show their true colours when they sab drag hunts and bloodhound hunts. They are just violent louts out to cause trouble.

Yes! My daughter was out with our local bloodhounds. Some huge bloke punched her leg and tried to pull her off her pony. Her pony trod on his foot

My friend wasn't with the hunt or anywhere near the hunt. She took her horse out for a quite ride with her daughter. They were not even aware the hunt were out as she has nothing to do with them. In fact she too is very anti hunting. The sabs jumped out of a hedge on the road and tried to pull her off her horse.

Sabotage without harming animals is one thing but some sabs go out of their way to harm the horse, rider and hound to stop the hunt

I don't believe that sabs injure any hounds or horses....I reckon that's a lie put round by hunters.

Unfortunately its not a lie, I have seen horses that have had saddles girths slashed. and the damage it has done to the horse.

Its not just fox hunting, sabs recently stopped the minkhounds who were about to dig out mink or otters. My god, if you watch the footage they were brave to stand up to the female involved. Thankyou sabs!

I just think it's high time we stopped hunting/caging/eating etc any animal. How can so many turn away from such horrific suffering?

The trouble with just reporting illegal hunting to the police is that nothing is done. Quite often the police presence at a hunt is to stop the sabs, not the animal killers.
OP YANBU. It's a shame sabs need to exist now that hunting animals with dogs is illegal, but sadly they are as essential as ever.

I don’t think they’re that bothered about the animals.... they do it because they associate fox hunting with “ posh” people and they’re fair game in their eyes. If they were bothered about the animals they’d be protesting people rabbiting or hare coursing also. And really if you’re going to target your resources in the name of animals you’re better off targeting factory farming which affects far more animals ( but far fewer posh people so not as much fun). They’re wankers.

I say that as someone whose car was deliberately damaged and was threatened by a balaclava'd twat... my sin was I happen to live in an area that is very very rural and may have hunts go through it - not DID have a hunt, but might have had! Local PCSO was great... but the sab who had been seen damaging my car AND threatening me was just given a 'stern warning' by the policeman in charge.. despite this having happened on my driveway and me living their alone most of the time!

Mind you the same car was left, by me, in the middle of a single lane track, aka the road I lived on, when a hunt follower refused to move his landrover cos he was watching the hunt.... by the end of the day many neighbours had realised what was happenieng and had parked their cars on either side of him - it took us about an hour to move them so he could leave

YANBU. There would be no need for them, if people stopped hunting

Sabs provide the evidence to bring hunt members to court. Its just a shame there isnt tougher sentencing. The people who were filmed feeding the live fox cubs to the hounds were given a small ban. Its not enough.
