To ask how anyone keeps their pubes inside their swimwear?

I am NOT a Hairy Mary. In fact, blessed with a very neat Bikini area which I also had lasered to keep it extra tidy. Problem is, pubes that remain always end up sticking out the sides of swimwear. I have no intention of doing the whole pre-pubescent total wax business but just want to know how on earth do other women avoid this problem? I tried trimming with scissors one year and the scratchiness was UNBEARABLE. Ideas?

Who cares? It’s only hair and we all have it.

Runmybathforme · 21/07/2019 22:32

Hollywood.

ClosdesMouches · 21/07/2019 22:34
Hmm
Sproink · 21/07/2019 22:39

Two minutes with a razor... all gone.

No stray hairs swimwear, or no swimwear. Sorted.

Goingonagondola · 21/07/2019 22:41

Where do you all buy your swimwear?

I want boy shorts but am having trouble finding any.

The only one piece with shorts I could find was a serious swimmer-looking thing that I (and my chub) would look ridiculous in.

EdWinchester · 21/07/2019 22:45

FGS. 3 choices.

Remove it. Wear something that covers it. Embrace it.

DontDribbleOnTheCarpet · 21/07/2019 22:46

Boyshort costumes are ace- I think I got most of mine on Amazon but I've also made some. I've never thought about what other people think about how I look, everyone is just swimming, surely, rather than pube-spotting?

NeckPainChairSearch · 21/07/2019 22:47

Is that enough of strangers on the internet talking about their pubic hair, OP?

EmilyBishopmyconfession · 21/07/2019 22:54

Decathlon stock some tankini swimsuits and board shorts.

YABU for that thought alone.

Adults removing their pubic hair, in no way resemble pre-pubescent children.

They just resemble adults without pubic hair.

Neckpain You're new here, aren't you?

This is NN where, within reason, often legally proscribed, we can talk about anything we want to.

Check carefully, and you may find the facility to 'scroll on by' on your device, should you feel the need to.

ChippyMinton · 21/07/2019 22:56

Plait it.

Miljah · 21/07/2019 22:57

MN, not NN. teensy iPhone 'device' 😊

nanbread · 21/07/2019 23:02

OP I understand you!

If I trim it's insanely itchy, no idea why.

If I shave or wax I get awful ingrown hairs. And then the itch as it grows out with shaving.

The only thing I can use is hair removal cream.

MarthasGinYard · 21/07/2019 23:05

'In fact, blessed with a very neat Bikini area which I also had lasered to keep it extra tidy. Problem is, pubes that remain always end up sticking out the sides of swimwear.'

How can It be 'extra tidy' but have spiders legs dangling out of your swimmers.

Odd

SpoonBlender · 21/07/2019 23:12

Miljah Neckpain is suggesting the OP is a perve wanting to see a bunch of ladies talking about their pubes.

Branster · 21/07/2019 23:20

I shouldn’t laugh because it is a real problem but with all these comments I can’t stop giggling.
You simply have to keep on top of it by trimming everything that’s left beyond the area you have had laser treatment on. Small nail scissors with the greatest of care.
Never, ever shave. Unless I guess you have very fine hair (I don’t know if anyone does?).
I wouldn’t dare hair removal cream on my legs let alone there.
I really couldn’t be doing with all the regular trimming maintenance (I personally don’t like any of this poking business even when wearing underwear but that’s only for me personally I don’t actually care what others do as it’s none of my business) so started waxing the entire area over 20 years ago on a regular basis instead of the basic bikini line wax. A While back I also had treatment along the bikini line with IPL so that’s taken care of and now just wax everything else once a month - it doesn’t have time to grow long enough to escape.

ZillaPilla · 21/07/2019 23:28

@Goingonagondola I get my boyleg swimsuit from Sports Direct.
It's cheap and only lasts a few months (I swim twice a week), but it suits me.

This is it

PixieLumos · 21/07/2019 23:38

I don’t get this - just trim it. What’s the point in having laser hair removal when you still let the rest grow so long you can’t keep it tucked in a bikini? And if that’s really the case I’m afraid to say you are a Hairy Mary. (Nothing wrong with that btw if you want to be one, but then don’t complain about swimwear issues).

AbbyNormal · 21/07/2019 23:43

Maljah, this is MN, where hairy-handed people come and create a discussion so strangers unwittingly share information about their pubic hair to a stranger Hmm

Bambamber · 21/07/2019 23:43

Just trim before you swim

AbbyNormal · 21/07/2019 23:43

BestZebbie · 21/07/2019 23:54

I have a swimsuit that is shorts at the bottom.
Best day ever when it finally hit me how fucked up it is that I had to give thought to my pubic hair in any way as part of taking my toddler to the swimming pool and have opted out of doing so any longer.

GaraMedouar · 22/07/2019 00:09

Tankini and board shorts are perfect.
