Just that really, don't know what people do besides the club night with blow up dolls! Grin Blush

Popped to Brighton, had some fish and chips and a nice cup of tea. Drinks on the train home and dinner in Ping Pong. Nice and relaxed. And not too expensive!

Level75 · 15/07/2019 20:20

Went camping with my sisters and got wasted on magic mushrooms.

Kitsandkids · 15/07/2019 20:22

A murder mystery night with 3 course meal at a fairly local hotel.

CaptainPovey · 15/07/2019 20:22

Had a load of people round to the house and just stuffed our faces and got drunk

It was brilliant

Alarae · 15/07/2019 20:22

Activity day with axe throwing, inflatable courses and target shooting with water guns while on the back of a tractor.

Followed in the evening with dinner nearby and a magician bar.

Had the best time and no crude hen tricks at all (ie penises, dare cards etc).

Hermie12 · 15/07/2019 20:22

Had a day at a spa at a hotel then dinner, drinks and overnight . Worked perfectly because some people came all day, some just for dinner. It was local so I felt people weren’t under any pressure to spend what they couldn’t afford

Pollaidh · 15/07/2019 20:22

A nice meal at home.

RobinHumphries · 15/07/2019 20:24

Made beaded jewellery

holidayhappy · 15/07/2019 20:25

Murder mystery weekend at a spa hotel. It was awesome.

SleepingStandingUp · 15/07/2019 20:25

Ballet then to accommodation to change then out for dinner and a few clubs then back to accommodation. Breakfast together in the morning.
Accommodation was a backpackers hostel so nice and cheap

Whichouse · 15/07/2019 20:28

My bridesmaids went above and beyond...we had a week in New York! The best spa hotel I have ever been to! We’ve been back 3 times since!! 😂
We did a cocktail making class and a helicopter tour. Afternoon tea, a lot of shopping 🙈. That was 13 years ago now!!

hopefullyhelpfully · 15/07/2019 20:29

Saturday spa day with close friends and family. We drank Prosecco, swam, read, chatted and then had a lovely dinner in town.

Home in my own bed by 1.00am.costs were within reason and no one had to take holiday or book flights.

2 of the other ladies there had the same hen do a few years later!

Heartofglass12345 · 15/07/2019 20:35

I went for an all you can eat Indian buffet (I was 29 weeks pregnant, but to be fair it was lush Grin)
My friend did afternoon tea for hers, with an hour of unlimited prosecco. It was lovely because it suited the older women in her family, then they went home and we went for a few drinks.

Beach11 · 15/07/2019 20:47

West End show, cocktails and a meal 😃

Alloftit · 15/07/2019 20:49

Literally just had my home one over the weekend Grin
Away was to Cardiff. Went to a polo match then out for dinner, drinks and dancing til the sun came up.
Home was bbq, drinks and games at home then out in our local town for a few... and some more dancing!

shieldmaidenofrohan · 15/07/2019 20:52

Went for a day in London, had drinks at claridges and lunch at le Gavroche

maddiemookins16mum · 15/07/2019 20:54

Went to see Mamma Mia (Matinee), then a lovely pub garden with lots of chilled wine followed by a curry. It was lovely.

HeyMicky · 15/07/2019 20:55

Rented a cottage with a hot tub, with about 10 friends. Stayed in on Friday night, had an 80s fancy dress sports day on the beach then went out for dinner on Saturday, Sunday roast then home.

Xyzzzzz · 15/07/2019 20:56

Xyzzzzz · 15/07/2019 20:56

Why can’t you edit posts yet!

Winegumaddict · 15/07/2019 20:58

We had a knicker making class with afternoon tea the dinner and drinks. It was ace and several of my friends wore their knickers to the wedding a couple of weeks later.

Theknacktoflying · 15/07/2019 20:58

Showing my age but I had a kitchen tea - all the ladies in the bridal party over for tea, champagne and cake with a few (clean) party games ...

winedayfriday · 15/07/2019 21:00

Will maybe get flamed for mines from all the super classy grown up mumsnetters out there.
I had a surprise trip to London ( I'm Scottish). Touristy during the day - cocktails at the shard, Harrods Prosecco bar, super cheesy dirty dancing dance class (but it was hilarious) and an even cheesier night in adonis (male stripper nightclub). All planned for me but had the best time. Then another night/party back home in the house for everyone who couldn't make it. Dirty dancing themed and everyone dressed up from the movie/60s and my bridesmaids planned lots of games and entertainment that included a mr and Mrs quiz with filmed answers from my H2B.
Yes it was a little cheesy but it's one of those things - will never have another night/weekend like it so it's ok to not be like any other night out.
Why not hand power and planning over to your friends and be surprised?

AragonsGirl · 15/07/2019 21:03

We went for lunch, had a cocktail masterclass then did pottery painting in the evening. We hired the shop and were able to bring our own food and drink. I have a lovely hand painted teaset as a momento

Lolimax · 15/07/2019 21:05

A weekend to Butlins with my girls. Laughed the entire time!
