Just that really, don't know what people do besides the club night with blow up dolls! Grin Blush

Went out for dinner with my local friends and had a few drinks in a nearby pub afterwards. Had a great night and nobody had to spend a fortune.

jmh740 · 15/07/2019 21:13

Went for a meal and then to the comedy club in manchester

JoJoSM2 · 15/07/2019 21:14

Mine was the crudest night out. Male strippers, penis-shaped food etc. Loved it Grin

AliTheMinx · 15/07/2019 21:16

I had my hen do in Cardiff. My mum, mother in law, bridesmaids and I had lunch in the hotel, then the mums left. My other friends (around 12, I think) arrived in the afternoon for a spa session. We then got changed and had drinks in the hotel. The dress code was smart black dresses and strictly no hen night tat... I said I'd leave at the sight of a willy silly straw!

We had dinner at a nice restaurant and then went to a pre-booked karaoke session in our own booth (which was brilliant fun, as I'm a singer). We danced for a bit and then had drinks in the hotel bar. All pretty civilised - just as I wanted it to be.

The next day we all had breakfast together, some of us went in the spa again and then we left at lunchtime.

ethelfleda · 15/07/2019 21:17

Had a nice vintage style party in a friend’s garden - BBQ, Gazebo, few games. It was fun and low key.

AliTheMinx · 15/07/2019 21:19

I also had a hen night in Bath (where I lived) with my singing friends. We had a fab Italian meal (some just came for drinks) and then a silent disco. Absolutely brilliant fun!

mynameisMrG · 15/07/2019 21:20

Had dinner then went to see Wicked at the theatre. Everyone then came back to stay at mine where lots of alcohol was involved

Karwomannghia · 15/07/2019 21:21

I also did pot painting and still have them all. Then went for dinner. I was pregnant. Everyone else got pissed still and there were willy straws.

welshweasel · 15/07/2019 21:21

Rented massive house with hot tub. Fancy dress party with stupid games on the Friday night. Llama walking on the Saturday. Back to house for fancy 3 course dinner and more games. Too much fizz. Brilliant weekend.

StCharlotte · 15/07/2019 21:22

Lunch with my best friends as well as MIL and one SIL to be and SIL's young daughters then in the evening went to one of the boat-clubs by Waterloo Bridge with loads of friends and colleagues. You didn't have to pay to get in, we just had bar meals if anyone wanted food so it could be a really cheap night if you wanted. Cheesy disco music and a cab home. It was perfect Grin

Winegumaddict
I didn’t even know knicker making classes existed. Sounds brilliant

shellistar · 15/07/2019 21:23

Hired a Victorian country house for a long weekend. First night was games and letting everyone get to know one another. Second day was a treasure hunt around the nearest town, second night was crazy karaoke and getting absolutely trashed. Third day was a walk round a town and tea and cakes and third night was a dress up murder mystery. Loved it. There was 14 of us and it was only £100 all in including food and alcohol!

The house was HUGE and lovely.

C0untDucku1a · 15/07/2019 21:23

Meal and salsa dancing

coconutcurls · 15/07/2019 21:27

We went clay pigeon shooting and quad biking, followed by an evening in my favourite local pub. The next day was a trip to London, went to the ice bar and had a cocktail making class in Covent Garden. Then headed back to my home town for a night of more cocktails in local bars 😊😊

PeoniesarePink · 15/07/2019 21:27

Didn't have one. Didn't want one.

I had a very young baby and just wanted sleep!

AuntieMarys · 15/07/2019 21:28

Nothing. Not for either wedding. I hate them Smile

FairyDogMother11 · 15/07/2019 21:31

Afternoon tea, cocktail making class, bowling and then clubbing. Was an amazing day but needed about a week to recover (which I didn't have as we got married two days later) haha

ChesterDrawsDoesntExist · 15/07/2019 21:31

Had a big night out booked in Liverpool. I was really excited as I never get to go out and had never been there before. Then discovered one Hen (who regularly went out in Liverpool) was inviting her sisters, other friends and even her workmates. None of whom I had ever met. She said it was because she was overdue a night out with them again and wanted to kill two birds with one stone.
My hen night had been completely taken over and I and the other hens decided a quiet meal with people I actually knew would be better than an awkward hen do with total strangers so we changed the venue. Shame really.

EmmaJR1 · 15/07/2019 21:31

A Bollywood dance workshop and dinner at a local restaurant with cocktails. The best day ever!

GreekOddess · 15/07/2019 21:31

I had a surprise hen party organised by my London friends at a restaurant and then bars in Covent Garden.

My other hen party was with my female relatives at my mums house. We had drinks and I cooked a Thai curry then some of us went to a local nightclub.

I got married over 20 years ago. Hen nights were not about spending a fortune at overseas destinations back then. They also took place very close to the wedding. My London hen party was 8 days before the wedding and my hometown party was 2 days before. It was traditional then for hen/stag parties to take place on the Thursday before the Saturday wedding. These days people seem to have their hen parties months and months before the wedding which is odd in my opinion!

Seren85 · 15/07/2019 21:40

Family one was meal and dancing at a dinner dance place. Lovely as it suited everyone including my DGM, DM, MIL and GMIL etc

Friends one we went to a spa, drinks in town, back to one of the BMs houses for food and games then to the local pub, meeting up with DH on his stag do.

ReggaetonLente · 15/07/2019 21:43

Went to ibiza for 3 nights with my bridesmaids. Pool parties, clubs, was amazing. A real last hurrah as I got pregnant as soon as I got married and that kind of thing is off the cards for a few years now!

Home one with all the girls - bottomless brunch, karaoke and a stripper!

MyHeadIsBursting · 15/07/2019 21:45

A burlesque dance lesson then out for dinner & drinks. Attempted clubbing, realised it was shit so went home!

BinglyBong · 15/07/2019 21:49

Totally outing, hence the name change.

We went to the Harry Potter Studio Tour, dressed as characters. It was absolutely awesome, I had a Tonks, Snape, Rita Skeeter, I was Umbridge and we even had a Hagrid (she had a fab false beard)!!

Then a meal at the local Frankie and Benny's, followed by a few of us going bowling. I loved every moment!

Swishyswash · 15/07/2019 21:49

Cocktails in the Savoy then dinner in Covent Garden.
