Just that really, don't know what people do besides the club night with blow up dolls! Grin Blush

Not mine (not married) but my favourite was Lazerquest followed by the arcades at Barry Island, fish & chips lunch and then the pub. Great fun

ChiefClerkDrumknott · 15/07/2019 21:52

And as the bride is a lesbian, not a willy straw or headband was in sight Grin

WhenOneFacePalmDoesntCutIt · 15/07/2019 21:55

a week in Ibiza!
organised as a surprise by my sisters and bestie, the rest of my friends joined us for a long weekend. It was amazing, and I had the best tan for my wedding Grin

Every female I am still mates with came for drinks in local town. We had a few penis straws but really just lots of fun. Like a normal Friday night but with everyone I like. I’m in my 40’s.
No one had to pay for transport or hotels so they were happy to buy drinks all night.

YesILikeItToo · 15/07/2019 21:55

I met some friends for lunch after my trial up do at the hairdressers. After some wine had been drunk, an expedition to M & S was mounted to buy the bridal underwear.

somersetsinger · 15/07/2019 21:56

A day on the beach, then a pub crawl and some dancing. We were young, it was fun. I organised one where we did go-kart racing. That was good, too.

owlofathena · 15/07/2019 22:01

Pottery painting with cakes and drinks then onto a couple of pubs and finished with a lovely meal

transformandriseup · 15/07/2019 22:08

Shopping, Chinese buffet, then went out in Plymouth in burlesque outfits. It was late November and freezing.

ImogenTubbs · 15/07/2019 22:09

Pizza and karaoke then back to mine for cocktails and dancing.

Palegreenstars · 15/07/2019 22:14

Didn’t have one which was perfect for me at the time.

I’ve just come back from a lovely one in a cottage by the see, swimming and eating and drinking as much as we liked. A real break.

Stormblessed · 15/07/2019 22:15

Really wasn't that bothered about a hen do but was nice to have everyone together before the wedding. Had a mix of ages and didn't want to cost people a small fortune so I did a cheap and cheerful river cruise. Cheesy music disco, cheap booze and surprisingly good fish and chips picked up along the way Smile

DogbertDogglesworth · 15/07/2019 22:15

I went for the usual saturday night out with my friends, but went for a meal prior to hitting the pubs and clubs.
No blow up dolls or hen party tat.
(mainly as it hadn't been invented when i got married )

Isithometimeyet0987 · 15/07/2019 22:58

I had 4 nights in London as a surprise hen do. Went to clubs, bars in Covent Garden, lunch in Harrods, the shard, libertys, musicals and lots of other stuff. The 3rd night was a planned big night out dinner, then a few bars, then on to a club.

Loyaultemelie · 15/07/2019 22:58

I don't go to and didn't have a hen but Alarae yours sounds brilliant

HearMeSnore · 15/07/2019 23:00

Dinner in a Thai restaurant and a pub crawl. Didn't enjoy it much. My out-of-work friends didn't really hit it off with my work friends, so that was awkward. One of my work friends was being particularly loud and bawdy but that really wasn't the sort of hen do I was after. So it fell a bit flat but at least nobody objected when I called it a night at about 11.30.

I had a better night the following weekend when DH was out on his stag, and my neighbour asked me round for pizza. Got pretty tipsy on pink cava with her and her mum. Laughed a lot.

Also had a great time two nights before the wedding. DH and I went for a drink and ran into a chap I used to work with who was out with his pal. We all ended up having a corker of a night out in a really good pub. There was much hilarious banter and a very tasty late night curry.

It seems my enjoyment of a night out is inversely proportional to the effort I've put into planning it.

Ihaventgottimeforthis · 15/07/2019 23:05

Party boat on the Thames and then a meal and a night out in Oxford.

Permenating · 15/07/2019 23:09

Rented a large house in Brighton. One night in with a takeaway drinking and playing silly games, then the next day went to bingo and got drunk for cheap during the day 😂 amusements and rides in the afternoon, went home for a nap, food a and drinks and then to a cheap cheesy 80s/90s night at a club. Had the best time and cost under £200 per person for the weekend.

What do people think of a life drawing class as one of the activities? Does anyone have any positive or negative experiences to share? Mary thanks.

Bezalelle · 30/11/2019 18:06

Mine is on Monday! Going down to London to stay with my friend for the night. In the daytime we're doing brunch, an art gallery, then dinner and drinks with another friend.

lynzpynz · 30/11/2019 18:51

Went to an island off the west coast of Scotland for 3 days. 16 of us. Drove there, ferry and back again. Loved it and spent less than £120pp all in as researched like crazy and all split costs. Its not where you party it's who you party with Wine
