To consider a nose job/rhinoplasty? Photos

So I have been bullied for my nose in school, and although externally I stayed calm, it was pretty hurtful. I know it's not the worst nose in the world, but I keep coming back to an idea of rhinoplasty. I'm 29, and after a considerable break (8 years!), I am going to start my masters this September (and I am very anxious about it).

I don't have spare money, and initially, I thought that I'd do that later on in my life.. But the closer to September the more anxious I am.

My friends say I am an idiot. My husband says go for it if you feel better that way (although I wish him to say the same things as my friends do)...

I know shorter nose will look better on me..also the hump. But do I need it? What do you think?

What’s wrong with your nose 🤷🏼‍♀️
Genuinely a bit Confused at this

Butchyrestingface · 02/07/2019 23:40

Your nose, but it looks fine to me. I can’t see any hump.

How you gonna pay for it?

DamnItsSevenAM · 02/07/2019 23:40

Gosh are those photos all you? How lovely. I can't see a single thing wrong with your nose and have to presume people bullying you were jealous of your good looks. I think if you were to have your nose shortened your face would look a lot more bland and less attractive. I can't see any lump personally. I feel it's likely that being bullied has given you a complex about something that's not actually there. I would use any money you can spare on counselling to help tackle this issue which is making you unhappy. Don't waste any money on trying to fix an imaginary problem!

MT2017 · 02/07/2019 23:42

Most people get bullied for something - it doesn't matter what it is.

Don't let the haters win. Wink

StillCoughingandLaughing · 02/07/2019 23:42

If you wish your husband would say what your friends are saying, you don’t really want the surgery. You want reassurance. Don’t put yourself through surgery when you don’t need to or really want to do so.

AnotherEmma · 02/07/2019 23:42

What? You look like a freaking model

maccaroni · 02/07/2019 23:44

Seriously I thought this was a photo montage of how you want to look! You are very attractive, don’t change anything!

Merryoldgoat · 02/07/2019 23:46

I genuinely thought ‘what’s the point of posting pictures of models?’

Then I realised they’re all you. I’m all for ‘fixing’ stuff if it really bothers you but honestly, zero wrong with your nose. ZERO.

MayFayner · 02/07/2019 23:46

You do NOT need to do anything to your nose.

I’m not anti-surgery but seriously, your nose is actually normal and it suits your face.

If you do this and it throws something else out of alignment, what then? Another tweak, and another?

CellularBlanket · 02/07/2019 23:49

You look great. Your DH is stuck because he wants to support your choice, (for you), but he thinks you look fine as you are. Friends can just say that you look good - which you do - and don't need to show that how you look is up to you.

Surgery carries risks. You really have no need to take those risks.

thatonesmine · 02/07/2019 23:49

Why are you even considering this? You are beautiful!

Obsidian77 · 02/07/2019 23:49

Those photos are of you? You're absolutely gorgeous.
Your nose suits your face perfectly.

Don't waste money on surgery, it's your confidence you need to work on.

Festivecheer26 · 02/07/2019 23:49

I wish my nose looked like yours! I honestly don’t think you’ve got anything to worry about but I also know what it’s like not to be happy with your nose - you can get non surgical rhinoplasty which I think is using fillers to smooth out a bump. If it does bother you that much then might be worth researching? However I don’t think it’s needed at all!

ShastaBeast · 02/07/2019 23:49

The hump is tiny and a slim nose is desirable. I’ve been considering it due to being recommended septoplasty - wonky with small bump and a bit bulbous. But it’s very expensive (and we have the cash), risky (it can go wrong and require revision) and unnecessary as it’s vanity - but I’m a married mum of two and my looks aren’t likely to help my career or whatever. Plus the pressure of social media and reality tv types, I worry for my DDs. However I’d absolutely understand if your nose was very big or wonky. I don’t understand why you were picked on, unless you’ve “grown into your nose” since, or kids just pick on anything.

BlueCookieMonster · 02/07/2019 23:49

You look so lovely, you don’t need to change a thing.

Wowserme · 02/07/2019 23:51

You’re absolutely perfect just as you are!

Calloway · 02/07/2019 23:51

You'd be mad. I think your nose fits your face perfectly. Jennifer Grey had her nose 'fixed' and her face suddenly looked generic and ordinary. And there's no going back where the nose is concerned.

If I thought you had an ugly hooter I'd say so, diplomatically. But you don't. You need to let go of your schoolday demons.

JaniceBattersby · 02/07/2019 23:52

Fuck me. Your nose is lovely. Do not touch it. You will ruin your lovely face.

Ginlinessisnexttogodliness · 02/07/2019 23:52

Your nose suits your face, which incidentally is beautiful.

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it as they say.

Bignicetree · 02/07/2019 23:52

You are beautiful and so is your nose

HelenaDove · 02/07/2019 23:52

You look great IMO

Two words for you to Google................Jennifer Grey

eternalopt · 02/07/2019 23:53

Please don't. You look stunning as you are. I know two people that have had very expensive, good and subtle nose jobs, but you can still tell. They get a sort of pinched look on their nose when they smile. Once spotted, it can't be unseen and it's a dead give away.

fancynancyclancy · 02/07/2019 23:54

There’s literally nothing wrong with your nose.

HelenaDove · 02/07/2019 23:54

Sorry Calloway Didnt see your post.

TheChain · 02/07/2019 23:54

You’re very pretty so please don’t take this in the wrong way... there is nothing wrong with your nose however I see what you may be bothering you and it’s actually not your nose, it looks a bit disproportioned because your chin is “weak”. The righthand side pic on your first image I’m referring to.
Please please, this is not an insult because you’re very pretty but I had a similar face shape to you and believed it was nose that I didn’t like but a consultant suggested a small chin implant instead and my nose now looks perfect for my face.
