To consider a nose job/rhinoplasty? Photos

So I have been bullied for my nose in school, and although externally I stayed calm, it was pretty hurtful. I know it's not the worst nose in the world, but I keep coming back to an idea of rhinoplasty. I'm 29, and after a considerable break (8 years!), I am going to start my masters this September (and I am very anxious about it).

I don't have spare money, and initially, I thought that I'd do that later on in my life.. But the closer to September the more anxious I am.

My friends say I am an idiot. My husband says go for it if you feel better that way (although I wish him to say the same things as my friends do)...

I know shorter nose will look better on me..also the hump. But do I need it? What do you think?

And yes, a small nose doesn’t always = a pretty nose. I personally would rather have your nose than a turned up tiny snub nose.

Have you looked into having filler rather than surgery? SIL did it and it looks great.

(Not that there is anything wrong with your nose)!

You are very beautiful, and having a doctored nose would make you look more ordinary maybe, and less attractive/interesting/beautiful

So I would not do it

Only many years later did I realise those are not inherently bad things, but they wanted to take me down a peg for being very confident despite not conforming to the classic beauty ideal.

I'd shorten the tip slightly and smooth out the bump. It's not going to make a huge difference to the way you look, but your confidence will sky rocket, so why not get it done. I say go for it.

You're very beautiful.

Your nose is sharp and a distinguishable feature of your face, and I know that might not sound like a compliment but it really, really suits you!

I have a very round face and a tiny nose. It's very flat and narrow, I struggle to wear glasses with it.
Your nose would look out of place on me and mine on you.

Just remember that because something looks nice on someone else doesn't mean it will on you. You are unique and perfect the way you are.

You are really pretty OP, there is nothing wrong with your nose at all. As a pp said I think the bullies were jealous of your looks and managed to focus on the one thing that bothered you. They do that.

Your nose is fine, but if you don't like it, go for it.
I'm having mine done (mine is far worse than yours), but then I know that if I don't do it, it'll be on my mind forever. The decision is yours and yours alone. :)

I also agree that I think your nose suits your face. Those horrible bullies have made you take one feature and hyper-focus on it - and forget to see yourself as a whole. What makes a person attractive is their overall look, as well as their expressions and how they carry themselves. You are gorgeous!!

Don’t do it. I also initially thought these photos were of noses you wanted to have rather than of you now. Don’t become one of these bland faces just because it looks better on Instagram. Your nose perfectly suits your face. And (having a nose I was unhappy about all through my twenties and early thirties) it is amazing how with age your confidence simply grows and you just don’t give a sh*t anymore because you are happy being you.

I’ve got the same sort of nose and face. I know if I changed my nose, I’d look odd.

Personally I think your nose is rather lovely! Def wouldn't change it! The people who used to give you grief about it were jealous as you are very pretty!
