I know last year spoiled me. I want some nice weather!

sonlypuppyfat · 16/06/2019 20:10

I still have nightmares about last year, this year is just fine

chuckyeggtimestwo · 16/06/2019 20:11

By next saturday I hope - Im getting married!

I know what you mean - if dp came up with a plan to emigrate to a hot country at the moment I reckon Id go for it, its so shit. I love walking for miles and every time ive braved it these last few weeks ive ended up soaked!

Mummyshark2019 · 16/06/2019 20:12

Congrats Chucky. Fingers crossed for the sun.

SargeantAngua · 16/06/2019 20:13

chuckyeggtimestwo hope it brightens up for your wedding, and then stays nice for mine on the 29th!

S0CKS · 16/06/2019 20:39

Would just be happy not to be wearing a long sleeve tee shirt over my pj vest!

Commented to dh how odd it was to see people wearing coats in town this afternoon in June!

Blankspace4 · 16/06/2019 20:40

I know!!!! I really hope it brightens and warms up soon. Has such a difference to mood!!

Darksideofthemoon19 · 16/06/2019 21:40

And then mine! Ours is the 12th July!

PinkiOcelot · 16/06/2019 21:45

Congratulations to all those with upcoming weddings. It’s my daughter’s 18th on 29th and we’re out for the day, so hopefully it’ll brighten up somewhat!!

There was threads about last years weather. Complaining how bad the good weather was, but bring it on I say. We got more mediocre weather than good so I couldn’t see what there was to actually complain about.

DameSquashalot · 16/06/2019 21:48

I'd really love some sun.

U2HasTheEdge · 16/06/2019 21:56

Summer will start in 2020 I think.

I got bloody drenched today. It was awful. However, I have also got sun burn. I think there has been four seasons in one day today.

I just want a proper summer like last year. It's not going to happen is it?

northernstars · 16/06/2019 22:00

Tesco are flogging off a load of summer clothes and the local bookshop is already promoting back to school stationery - it feels like autumn!

Darksideofthemoon19 · 16/06/2019 22:04

We’re off to Cornwall for our honeymoon so I hope it gets better!

pinkboa · 16/06/2019 23:19

Hope summer shows up...

We're spending a week in Cornwall...

It'll remind us why we don't holiday here!

SargeantAngua · 16/06/2019 23:56

Fingers crossed for a few weeks of sun then Darksideofthemoon19 and that we both get sun on the 29th PinkiOcelot

Pipandmum · 17/06/2019 00:00

Well it was certainly hot and sunny down south today. Rained a bit in the morning but lovely afternoon. It’s not summer by the calendar yet so plenty of time!

SkintAsASkintThing · 17/06/2019 00:03

Mother earth decided to treat the heat haters this year.

This is our time to shine, I'm absolutely loving this weather Grin

TeddiesAreEverywhere · 17/06/2019 00:05

No complaints from me! I really don’t do well in the heat, I keep my curtains closed when it’s really hot to keep the room shaded!

VeniVidiWeeWee · 17/06/2019 01:23

Summer hasn't started yet. June 21st.

It'll probably still be raining though........

AppleandBananas · 17/06/2019 08:59

It's supposed to be nice this weekend where I am in the SE. In time for my birthday GrinGrin

Chickencellar · 17/06/2019 09:03

Should be a little warmer this week , not by much though. Hopefully will see a bit of sun as well.

hammeringinmyhead · 17/06/2019 09:03

Last year's heatwave didn't start til the end of June and the hottest temperatures were at the end of July. Time yet!

Lockheart · 17/06/2019 09:05

YABU. There's highs of 20 here today and sunshine, it's hardly autumnal is it? And it's not as if we've not had some very hot days already.

Last year was not a good summer for our ecosystem or our farmers. Which are both pretty vital. Last year was horrific.

Personally I'd rather crops and animals weren't dying in the fields and have a healthy environment than be able to sit in a beer garden for weeks on end.

hammeringinmyhead · 17/06/2019 09:07

Me too. I hated the heatwave as I was pregnant and I don't want another as I would need to keep an 8 month old baby cool!

Lovelydovey · 17/06/2019 09:08

I much prefer it like this - much more pleasant for work and school, and my garden is thriving!
