To ask DH to sort his body hair

DroningOn · 06/06/2019 22:39

DH has a hairy belly and chest and I'm sick of finding hair in the bed.

It pokes out of the neck of anything he wears except a buttoned up shirt and tie and gathers all the lint off the inside of his tshirts and it collects in his belly button.

New tshirts are the worst, especially those of a contrasting colour - nothing worse than seeing him climbing into bed with a wad of red fluff in his navel.

Might grow out my pubes and bikini line in protest. Grin

Would stubble be better?

palahvah · 06/06/2019 22:44

Should he be combing it daily?

MadCap · 06/06/2019 22:44

His body, his choice. Yabu.

StillCoughingandLaughing · 06/06/2019 22:45

Would you rather have some waxed TOWIE Ken doll?

graziemille567 · 06/06/2019 22:47

This seems harsh! Surely you should be accepting of his body? It's not like he can control it!

cranstonmanor · 06/06/2019 22:47

I have a hairy DH and I think it's kind of cute. He's a cute monkey. Why does your partners hair bother you? I assume he showers regurlarly?

Walkamileinmyshoesbeforeujudge · 06/06/2019 22:48

Start calling him Chewbakka...

bridgetreilly · 06/06/2019 22:48

YABVU. And hey, why not let your own hair grow as well? I haven't shaved my armpits regularly for years, and I've never done anything to my pubes other than an occasional trim. Works just fine.

blaaake · 06/06/2019 22:49

Shove a bit of veet on him during the night Grin seriously though, obviously you can't force him to do anything but I assume if he has a preference over your body hair then you can tell him your preference over his.

YetAnotherUser · 06/06/2019 22:50

Yabvu, his body his choice.

HolesinTheSoles · 06/06/2019 22:50

I have a hairy DH. He'd be mortified if he thought I felt like you about it. Also what do you actually propose he does? DH shaves before he goes swimming as he's self conscious and it's back again very quickly.

RumpoleoftheBaileys · 06/06/2019 22:51

You are not a nice wife.

YABU

Unless he expects you to be clean shaven. In that case, then I just despair.

EskewedBeef · 06/06/2019 22:54

Leave him alone. He doesn't find it repulsive or inconvenient, and you don't really get a say in it.

BlueSkiesLies · 06/06/2019 22:56

Dunno about the his body his choice thing - I’m sure most people do some things re body hair partly because they know their partner has a preference.

BringOnTheScience · 06/06/2019 22:56

Can you imagine the outrage on here if HE complained about HER body hair choices?!?!?

FWIW, I love my gorilla DH. He's all fluffy & warm.

Walkingdeadfangirl · 06/06/2019 22:59

Have a Brazilian wax and then ask your DH to shave!
YABU

sweeneytoddsrazor · 06/06/2019 23:00

Presumably this isnt a new thing. He had body hair when you met? Wash his t shirts before he wears them

HennyPennyHorror · 06/06/2019 23:03

Are you joking?? It's hair! I don't shave my body apart from my legs...I think it's utterly WEIRD to ask someone else to remove their hair for your comfort or pleasure.

morallybankruptme · 06/06/2019 23:04

Well you abviously married him hair and all. So why try to change him
Now?

WhenISnappedAndFarted · 06/06/2019 23:04

YABU like others have said - his body, his choice.

recrudescence · 06/06/2019 23:06

This doesn’t seem like a huge problem to me. I’d divert my energies into something more worthwhile.

CorBlimeyGovenor · 06/06/2019 23:07

This reminds me of the 'poo crumbs' thread.

BummyKnocker · 06/06/2019 23:08

I love a hairy man.

But, his body, his choice. YABU.
