School possibly gave my details to abusive ex.

Just had an email from school saying that they are using a new app called sims to deal with all personal info etc.
Signed up and logged in and it has my emails, phone numbers address plus all my partners details as he is down as an emergency contact.
It also shows me all my ex’s details.

My ex is a nasty piece of work and as a result the only way he has of contacting me is one email address.
If he has been sent this link as well they have handed him all mine and my partners details and he is going to have a field day!
Obviously as it’s half term no one is answering the school phones so I have no way of knowing if he has my details or not!

A teacher said that they would not be happy to be contacted about this because they were on their holidays. I don’t agree with that attitude.

Let me get this straight.

You don't agree with someone not working during their holidays when they are, by definition, off work? Instead they should be managing work communications on holiday just in case someone wants to contact them about something that is not in their job remit?

And you wonder why I think you're goading a little?

We have some skeleton services in place as part of the central MAT but nobody monitoring communications for each school.
E.g. If I was planning at home and needed IT support then the're would usually be a technician in I could email who might be able to help on a general level but not school level. There's be no pastoral staff in, which is why when I saw something that was a potential safeguarding issue, I had to ring social services out of hours (then spoke to out safeguarding officer when we were back for school records).

OP said she didn't give his details to the school, she didn't know his contact details, and yet there they were in the login.

Which I said was especially weird coz I don't see any of my DH's details on my SIMS account.

The OP said he must have been in contact with the school.

If he contacted them for copies of reports, or to be the second contact, then the school will have had to do that as he has PR.
