What's in your glove box?

Inspired by a soon to be deleted thread where a variety of odd items were found in a husbands glove compartment.

Not too odd considering I have a pair of scissors, a tea towel, half a dairy milk Oreo (will soon be snaffled), 2 tins of the pink Vaseline lip balm and a roll of white bin bags in mine. What's in yours?!

Sun cream, the grips for ice for the bottom of your shoes, a manual for the car ( well I think that's what it is), salt from McDonald's, and £40.

startalovetrain · 07/05/2019 23:48

@Drogosnextwife very practical!!
I also have a free McFlurry voucher from last year's McDonald's monopoly! Oops!

Car manual and first aid kit. Possibly a pair of sunglasses, but I never really open it! I’d probably bet on a stray mascara, too.

BringOnTheScience · 07/05/2019 23:53

Sat nav, locking wheel nut socket, local map, torch, mints.

Rest of my car is rather more untidy & random!

OhMsBeliever · 07/05/2019 23:55

Paperwork for the car.

That's it!

I've only had the car for just over a week though, so not much time to fill it up with crap yet!

startalovetrain · 07/05/2019 23:55

@OhMsBeliever oo happy new car!

Just think of all the space for empty water bottles you have now, I'm so jealous!! GrinGrin

Mainly music cds and audio books on cd. Dh keeps sunglasses in there, and car park passes for work.

TheRattleBag · 07/05/2019 23:56

Car handbook, locking wheel nut, phone charger & cable, travel sweets, emergency star bar (in case of snow), breathalysers for driving in France and sunglasses.

Anything but gloves!

startalovetrain · 07/05/2019 23:57

@TheRattleBag is 8.30am morning rush hour appropriate for an emergency star bar? Asking for a friend...

OP posts:
MuddyMoose · 07/05/2019 23:58

Manual for the car & other car related paperwork, mints, baby wipes, sunglasses, dust & fluff.

Nofilter101 · 07/05/2019 23:58

Car manual, McDonald's napkins, 2 satnavs that dont work, possibly some mailing bags, phone charger.

TheRattleBag · 08/05/2019 00:00

@startalovetrain
Considering that my emergency mars bar in a former car barely lasted a week, your friend should have no shame in eating an emergency star bar during rush hour... it can be very stressful!

PlatypusPie · 08/05/2019 00:00

Spare pair of glasses, small first aid kit that should probably be reviewed, a pen, a small notebook, insurance details, National Trust handbook.

Floralnomad · 08/05/2019 00:01

Locking wheel nut kit , sat nav in its case , notebook and pen , iPod charger ,/ connector and a box of hydrocortisone tablets .

ilovesooty · 08/05/2019 00:01

Car manual, theatre ticket and cat vaccination certificate.

Walnutwhipster · 08/05/2019 00:03

I opened it today. It contained the wheel nut thing, hand cream, baby wipes and tissues.

IamPickleRick · 08/05/2019 00:05

Two copies of Northern Lights, a melted but still sealed Wispa bar, the manual, the service history book, 5 pens, tissues, jelly babies, a torch, stamps, hair bands and a phone charger.

Nnnnnineteen · 08/05/2019 00:08

Have an armrest of doom. Spare tights, spare mascara. Face wipes. Chewing gum. Locking wheel nut wotsits. Parking fine (Will look at it soon).. garage only look in the glove box..

I know that in the front are the sat Nav and 2pairs of gloves but behind them...?

MillicentMartha · 08/05/2019 00:16

CDs, car manual, locking wheel nuts, spare pair of glasses, eyeliner, not much else. Unlike the door pockets which are full of parking stubs, tissues, sweet wrappers, a pair of socks and an ice scraper.

ThePants999 · 08/05/2019 00:19

A fork. It's a long story.

Purpleartichoke · 08/05/2019 00:21
