What's in your glove box?

Inspired by a soon to be deleted thread where a variety of odd items were found in a husbands glove compartment.

Not too odd considering I have a pair of scissors, a tea towel, half a dairy milk Oreo (will soon be snaffled), 2 tins of the pink Vaseline lip balm and a roll of white bin bags in mine. What's in yours?!

Latex gloves (if there is a traffic accident/animal injured)

That reminds me. I don't have the gloves but I also have a filled syringe in my glove box to put an animal down if necessary should I find one with unsurvivable injuries.

RozHuntleysStump · 08/05/2019 13:43

Locking wheel nut, pen and emergency knitting project.

TheTitOfTheIceberg · 08/05/2019 13:47

Car manual
Sat nav
Sat nav charger
Random other cables/chargers (what they charge, I have no idea)
Torch
Bottle of water

Locking wheel nut thingy and £1 for the trolley in the little holder in the dashboard.

In the boot I have jump leads, de-icer, screen wash, scraper, car shampoo & a sponge - god knows why, I use car washes - hi viz jacket, warning triangle, tow rope and a bag of Ikea tea lights. One of those things is not like the others...

I have to go clear mine out, dh made me watch the Top Gear episode where Richard Hammond drive the MX5...same version as mine and he was waxing lyrical about all the research done to improve the car without spoiling the weight and aerodynamics

"shaving 87g from the weight of the rear view mirror, buy two packets of crisps from the garage and you have buggered it all up" says Hammond

Dh guffaws and ponders out loud about the scarves, hats, makeup multiple sunglasses, emergency specs, sun cream, phone holders and wires and then says I do not deserve such a lovely car if I am going to treat it like a TatShop.

I said he wasn't allowed in it any more! That would save me more than 85g :o

but it does need a tidy

Only the manual and the charging thing that goes in the cigarette lighter. But I only bought the car a week ago, give it time and it’ll be filled with all manner of detritus.

PlinkPlink · 08/05/2019 14:41

Mine used to have a CDs, sunglasses and a mobile charger.

You're all very sensible and bave things like ice grips for your shoes Blush

Might need to adjust my contents for when I'm back to driving 😂
