To think the UK media silence on the Prince William rumours is odd

Just that really. No idea if there's anything more than rumour and speculation, but it's all over social media that Prince William allegedly had an affair with one of Kate's friends, but there is a total media silence on it.
Pretty bizarre considering that Meghan Markle barely has to breathe and the media are covering it.

Perhaps media are not allowed to print about that stuff about the royal family or they will get cut off from other big stories.

Humpy84 · 25/04/2019 17:03

@ pelirocco123 I just had a two year old jump on the c section scar that he was born through and this is my outlet.

Nobody finds it sadder than me that instead of pursuing law, I’m a Mum on mumsnet discussing royals.

Sunlov · 25/04/2019 17:07

The one thing I've noticed is that Kate (Duchess of Cambridge) has faded into a whippet in the past 6 months - 3 months even. The only other person I've seen do that was Cheryl Cole/Hernandes/Versini as she was called at the time, when she had split up from one of her exes.

I think there is possibly truth to it. She literally faded into skin and bones.
Kate has an athletic build from regular hard work I imagine, but much like Diana went through Bulemia, it's possible that that's her only way of coping.

I would imagine it's a case of no concrete proof. You don't go up against the Royal Family in a libel or defamation case - so you keep your mouth firmly shut.

Twitter is naming the firm of solicitors that has apparently issued the injunction so my money’s on there being one.

Sunlov · 25/04/2019 17:11

One thing is for sure, I couldn't live in such circles. To me, they're all posh-accented chavs. But that's for another debate. They're at the same shit as every Jeremy Kyle guest, but just with a posher accent.

PortiaCastis · 25/04/2019 17:11

If there was an injunction this thread wouldn't be here

TheCatDidSay · 25/04/2019 17:13

I think Harry and Kate would of made a lovely couple. The looks on their faces when enjoying each other’s company they just light up.

Alsohuman · 25/04/2019 17:14

It’s been here for less than three hours. Bet it disappears any minute now.

Humpy84 · 25/04/2019 17:15

Agree @sunlov. I know this is hugely controversial to say but I’ve often wondered about this. Kate looks thinner than Miranda Kerr in skinny jeans, she’s thinner than most celebrities and at catwalk weight. She was slim pre fame but not like this. Her bottom is an extension of her leg in pants and this is in photos, imagine in real life. She wears things that don’t really show the extent of how thin she is. Her sister is quite muscly albeit thin. It’s not genetics.

I would have thought a husband would say something about a vanishing wife and express concern. Perhaps WIlliam is into that look but it signals trouble in the relationship that she doesn’t feel secure enough to let the 2 hour cardio sessions slide.

Sunlov · 25/04/2019 17:17

If there is truth to the rumours (and in fairness, they're like sniffer dogs), I imagine the Queen summonsed William to tell him to wind his neck dick in.
Affairs don't just happen to Jeremy Kyle guests.
It's human nature.

WillGymForPizza · 25/04/2019 17:18

I'd be stunned if any of this were true to be honest. Diana used William as her emotional support and confidante when he was a child, so I'd be pretty shocked if he'd repeat the behaviour of his father after seeing what it did to his mother.

Humpy84 · 25/04/2019 17:19

@sunlov lol. Well if Kate knows it’s quite the charade she’s putting on. Her chemistry and charisma towards Wills always and without fail, deserves an Oscar.

tinytemper66 · 25/04/2019 17:20

I have only seen references to an affair on here!

Sunlov · 25/04/2019 17:24

Same with Diana though. Always looking at Charles adoringly.

BertrandRussell · 25/04/2019 17:26

It’s very odd that one of the forbidden things to say on Mumsnet is how thin the DofC is. There seems to be collective denial about it.

limitedperiodonly · 25/04/2019 17:26

They would be all over it if there was a sniff of truth in it. I remember Charles and Di had plenty of negative coverage.

And there was no truth in that either, was there? Grin

GinZing · 25/04/2019 17:28

Ha ta yes there was but that’s the point!

GinZing · 25/04/2019 17:28

William definitely seems the type to cheat. He never seemed into Kate as she was into him. He is like his father.

Wow

brizzlemint · 25/04/2019 17:29

How long before lawyers are talking to MNHQ?

Quintella · 25/04/2019 17:29

'Diana used William as her emotional support and confidante when he was a child, so I'd be pretty shocked if he'd repeat the behaviour of his father after seeing what it did to his mother.'

Whereas I'd say this experience would make it more likely he'd have a dysfunctional relationship in adulthood.

limitedperiodonly · 25/04/2019 17:30

This thread has now made me think about sex with Prince William, Andrew Lloyd-Weber and Kim Jong-il. That's a lot to stomach for one afternoon.

Can I throw Donald Trump into the mix SonjaDog?

Quintella · 25/04/2019 17:31

And I'll throw David Mellor into the mix. That one always appalled me.

happyhillock · 25/04/2019 17:33

I didn't day shame on Charles and Diana for being divorced, it was for there affair's being in all the paper's for William and Harry to see, Although Charles had 1 affair Diana quite a few, 2 of which were married men, what did she say about 3 being a crowded marriage?

Humpy84 · 25/04/2019 17:34

@brizzlemint ship has sailed, there is so much on twitter etc already.

Hello where are all the upper class Norfolk Mums on mumsnet ? Someone must have a second cousin married to s duke ? Married to the driver of a duke ?
