I came back from somewhere tropical just over a week ago.
Had some mosquito bites that got infected and turned into cellulitis. That’s clearing up with antibiotics.

But now I can see what’s in there and I have actual maggot things.

Fucking help me!

It’s 3am. It is excruciatingly painful and I can feel them move.

I had much Prosecco yesterday as did H. I could wake DD up or could waiti til morning. But i am freaking out badly.

Envy < not envy

Get well soon!

DungballInADress · 22/04/2019 05:16

Well. That's not something you expect at 5am.

OP, you're a hero. I know you said you're on anti-b's so no wine but definitely cake for you.

Go on holiday they said...it'll be fun they said.....

Minkies11 · 22/04/2019 05:21

Can I ask which country you went to? so I never accidentally go there

lljkk · 22/04/2019 05:41

East Africa, apparently. Safari hazard.

Self-care.

Mummyoflittledragon · 22/04/2019 05:45

Just looked these buggers up. The female has flown into your washing / something hanging up, which you’ve then used and the larvae has burrowed into your skin. The larvae can only live 48 hours without being inside a host so your clothes should be fine after that. No need to burn them.

Anothertempusername · 22/04/2019 05:46

OP you're a hero. Continue drinking heavily until you have no memory of the night would be my advice.

lljkk · 22/04/2019 05:51

apparently can cover the initial pinprick/wound with vaseline, this brings the blighters to surface for air & gently squeeze out.

SD1978 · 22/04/2019 05:52

Holy shit. No. Juts no. Did the medical staff taking them out manage to remain at least prentendy professional? I'm not sure if I could 🤢🤢🤢 glad they are out now!
