...that seems to send preschoolers mental?!

Kids parties etc this song comes on and they go nuts! The girls in DDs nursery say the kids ask for it, but I have friends with kids at different nurseries who say the same thing so it can’t just be DDs pals.

I mean it’s catchy and upbeat but so are lots of songs 🤷🏻‍♀️

Dunno what it is but one of my colleagues got quite upset when i described it as a "kids song" a few weeks ago....

I don't know, but I'm considerably older than a preschooler and I've dreamed of that song and woken up singing it. (C'mon subconscious, I know you know better music than that...) I like George's voice and the winsome silliness of the video, but earworms of that calibre should seriously come with a health warning.

We are currently on a long car journey and have played Shotgun, Grace Kelly and Shiny Happy People on a loop at DD4s request. With the occasional light relief of the Stick Song.

I always think there’s something unbearably smug about George Ezra.

He does this kind of faux-smug smile to camera which I always see as signifying that he's in on the joke too, and I always see it as good-natured and inclusive if that makes sense. He's appealing because he doesn't do that affected "cool" thing and because he's one of very few current male singers who actually has a very good voice - perhaps the only one, I don't know because I stopped following pop music in 1987. :)

I think it sounds like a couple other songs. I feel I can hear a bit of 'forget you' by C-lo Green.... Might be completely wrong though.

I think it's absolutely brilliant to have a song about that kids and adults both like, and which isn't sexualised. Just a good old sing-a-long happy song. Can't stand little mix etc for that reason. I hate seeing my nieces and nephews singing and dancing to "shout out to my ex" etc.

Dunno, maybe it's because it says 'gun' a lot, they notice it?! My ds is obsessed with guns though...

I don't know but its a hit at school discos too and we've been using it as a warm up in PE, even usually PE avoiding kids will dance to it!

Yep - my 6 year old’s favourite song. It’s the first ‘pop’ song that he has ever really been into.

DD has been obsessed with it since the first time she heard it, she's 6. Annoyingly catchy.

It's strange isn't it. I remember all the kids going wild to it on holiday last year. I've not really seen reactions like it to any other song.

They like some funny stuff though. Weirdest experience was hearing 200 kids sing shouting ‘I can’t feel my face’ in complete innocence.

Thank goodness it isn’t just my DD (5) who has this obsession. Yes she does go wild when it is played. But there are worse things she could want to be in to.

I do laugh at my 3 year old belting out “bikini bottoms lager tops” in the car
