He put a chocolate button on my nipple.

AIBU to think he’s a pillock?

I am 7 months pregnant and have dealt with itchy sore dry since day one really. (Sorry for TMI). This week one of them cracked and I’ve been in a fair bit of pain. I have been slathering ointment on them and was in the process of letting said ointment soak in whilst watching Luther with my husband, lying on bed. I was airing the nips to let the cream soak in. He decided that would be a great time to take the chocolate button he was eating and place it onto my nipple (he claims he thought it would be funny).

They weren’t even smooth flat buttons, it was those new Malteser bad boys with lumps. I was livid!

I went in the huff and couldn’t believe his stupidity. Maybe the hormones are raging!

Get over it.

Readysteadygoat · 24/01/2019 21:45

Do ya think?! Ha

All the very best for the rest of your pregnancy

TickTockClocks · 24/01/2019 21:47

Ok then. Confused

trooth · 24/01/2019 21:48

He's just being silly. I would just look at him and say "excuse me my mouth is up here"

Sparklesocks · 24/01/2019 21:48

I would’ve found it funny, but he should know if you’re feeling great.

HollowTalk · 24/01/2019 21:49

Honestly, OP, you will look back on this thread one day and laugh at how daft you were!

Hoopaloop · 24/01/2019 21:50

I put a chocolate button in DH's arsecrack while he was asleep. Once he woke up, it was melted and he got a bit of a panic on.

whiteworld · 24/01/2019 21:50
Hmm
Greensleeves · 24/01/2019 21:51

Er, I disagree with previous posters. This wasn't a fun, relaxed, flirtatious moment, you're in pain with cracked nipples and he decided to be insensitive, childish and disrespectful.

Not cool Hmm

Angry101 · 24/01/2019 21:51

I don't think you're being unreasonable tbh . Cracked nipples are really painful and I'd be livid if my husband touched mine when they were like that .

Bluntness100 · 24/01/2019 21:51

Ok then, thanks for sharing.

ILiveInSalemsLot · 24/01/2019 21:51

I actually would have been annoyed at that too when I was pregnant and breastfeeding.
I was all like ‘my body isn’t mine anymore. It’s for other people. Sob’
Dh doing that would have tipped me over the edge.

TheSheepofWallSt · 24/01/2019 21:52

Gently meant but I think there may be a hormonal element to your response OP....

SummerStrong · 24/01/2019 21:54

Lighten up love Grin

Aridane · 24/01/2019 21:57

I think it's funny- don't know why

Mulberry72 · 24/01/2019 21:59

Get a grip (in the nicest possible way!)

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 24/01/2019 22:00

Bit weird I guess. Don't think it warrants a thread on MN mind.

Celebelly · 24/01/2019 22:02

This is horrendous. That button will have got cream on it and be inedible now Sad

Dextrodependant · 24/01/2019 22:03

Cracked nipples are hell. Have you tried Lansinoh, it's a Lanolin ointment.

If you are sore taken it's insensitive if your DH to touch your sore area and I would be a bit annoyed about it too.

Layoverlife · 24/01/2019 22:03

Chill out geeezz Hmm

BoomBoomsCousin · 24/01/2019 22:05

I wouldn’t have liked it while I was pregnant or breastfeeding. Would find it funny virtually any other time. I don’t think it’s easy for other people, even your partner or your mum (who will have gone through it herself), to understand all the things that are different for you when you’re pregnant. So YANBU to not like it. YAPBabitU to have a go at him about it rather than just explain that it’s not funny for you now.

TheVanguardSix · 24/01/2019 22:06

Jesus. Slow night?

BoomBoomsCousin · 24/01/2019 22:06

*YABabitU not YAPabitU!

LadyTabasco · 24/01/2019 22:07

Cool story bro

Tartsamazeballs · 24/01/2019 22:09

It's not a big deal in the grand scheme of things but definitely something I might have a little angsty weepy sadface about with sore itchy nipples at 7 months pregnant. It's part and parcel of it all.
