He put a chocolate button on my nipple.

AIBU to think he’s a pillock?

I am 7 months pregnant and have dealt with itchy sore dry since day one really. (Sorry for TMI). This week one of them cracked and I’ve been in a fair bit of pain. I have been slathering ointment on them and was in the process of letting said ointment soak in whilst watching Luther with my husband, lying on bed. I was airing the nips to let the cream soak in. He decided that would be a great time to take the chocolate button he was eating and place it onto my nipple (he claims he thought it would be funny).

They weren’t even smooth flat buttons, it was those new Malteser bad boys with lumps. I was livid!

I went in the huff and couldn’t believe his stupidity. Maybe the hormones are raging!

Do it to his until the choc is melted and stuck in his chest hair...

happinessismyliberty · 24/01/2019 22:10

@Hoopaloop that made me actually snort laughing, now contemplating doing it to DH............

Thanks for that I needed a giggle tonight!

WorraLiberty · 24/01/2019 22:10

It's so cold here, my DH used mine to skewer a kebab.

DeathyMcDeathStarFace · 24/01/2019 22:11

That's what I was thinking Celebelly want some giant Cadbury's buttons now but haven't had them in so long I don't know if they have ruined them with their palm oil.

And our local Tesco closed at 10pm and the closest 24 hr Asda is too far away to justify the fuel cost and cost to the environment. Sobs uncontrollably.

OP, I think you overreacted a bit and I recommend forgetting about the incident, but explain to dh you're in pain and he needs to leave you alone to heal. My nips are very sensitive (hate even being under the shower) and my dh isn't allowed anywhere near them unless i am ready, he knows this and respects me enough to let them be, hopefully your dh will respect you enough to leave yours alone after you explain things to him.

FascinatingCarrot · 24/01/2019 22:12

Cheers for that op

Cynara · 24/01/2019 22:13

I get it. Not a huge deal in the normal run of things, but whilst drying nipples cracked from breastfeeding: no, absolutely not ok. Probably he just doesn't have a clue why you're not amused, but his bewilderment isn't your problem. You've got enough going on. Brew for you.

alltheusernames · 24/01/2019 22:13

Genuinely didn't know cracked nipples in pregnancy was a thing.

I’m more perplexed about watching tv in bed with my man with my boobs out haha.
Perhaps I’m the minority

happymum12345 · 24/01/2019 22:19

I could never get annoyed about chocolate-even with sore nipples! All the best with your baby!

birdiewoof · 24/01/2019 22:21

I thought OP was being jokey annoyed....is that not the case?!

123rd · 24/01/2019 22:22

I would have probably just thought- bonus, free choc then scoffed it!

SPR1107 · 24/01/2019 22:23

I laughed. (Sorry)

Im 29 weeks pregnant, my DH asked me to go upstairs and get his dumbbells out of our wardrobe whilst he reached his target in the exercise bike tonight... they can be dumb sometimes. (I carried on eating my two years olds chocolate whilst my arse dented the sofa)

NotANotMan · 24/01/2019 22:23

Did it actually hurt or bother you, or was it just the fact that he did it that annoyed you?

LonelyAmongUs · 24/01/2019 22:25

get his dumbbells out of our wardrobe whilst he reached his target in the exercise bike tonight

Gross, I really hope that's not a euphemism for something.

SPR1107 · 24/01/2019 22:28

Ha no @LonelyAmongUs I mean actual weights

Bigonesmallone3 · 24/01/2019 22:28

Sounds like something my DP would do and dependant on mood I might say 'ur a knob head'
But wouldn't be anything close to livid
Poor bloke..

NutElla5x · 24/01/2019 22:31

LTB!

spugzbunny · 24/01/2019 22:32

Pregnancy hormones are a right bastard aren't they!

I'd still eat the button to be honest.

BlancheM · 24/01/2019 22:38

Chinny reckon

MamaMilkMachine · 24/01/2019 22:42

Oh my good lord @Hoopaloop it's not often I actually laugh out loud when reading something but I did at your post......and now really want to do it to OH GrinGrinGrin

DishingOutDone · 24/01/2019 22:44

Sounds like he doesn't have that much respect for you, not something I'd find funny but I'm confused but your OP - do you think its a great joke?

CoffeeRunner · 24/01/2019 22:44

YABU to say “nips”.

BeatNickBeamer · 24/01/2019 22:44

I’m more perplexed about watching tv in bed with my man with my boobs out haha.

Bloody hell, if you can't have your boobs out at home in bed with your partner when can you?!

Lunde · 24/01/2019 22:50

I wouldn't be happy if I had sore, bleeding cracked nipples for my OH to show such a lack of consideration and put me at risk of a breast infection - for god's sake it was from his mouth and covered in germs

I would not be impressed
