I know this is daft, and it's up to me, but this is really strange.

I had to buy some emergency clothes in another city, so bought the cheapest things I could find, including a nightdress that I was convinced was going to be awful, but was dramatically reduced. When I got back to the hotel and tried it on it, it was really flattering and actually made me feel happy.

So, I'm thinking I would always like this in my life. Would IBU to see if I can track down another one now I'm home?! Does anyone buy 2 of something because they like it so much (knickers and bras not withstanding)...?

i have the same top in 3 different colours. i like the style of it and can wear each colour with a different bottom half 🤷‍♀️

If I absokutely love a pair of trousers or a shirt, I try to get them in every colour. Buy another, OP!

I do this a lot. If you find something that fits, is comfortable and flatters you why would you limit yourself to one?

Do it! My mum and I bought the same top recently, completely coincidentally. Slightly mortifying to find we now have the same taste in clothes, but anyway... Mum decided she didn't like it after all so gave hers to me. I was going to return mine for a refund but in the end I decided to keep them both as I like it so much. So I'm all for owning multiple versions of the same item of clothing.

OP I have 4 of the same shirt just in different colours, well they are check shirts so different patterns too, I also by doubles of jumpers and jeans when I find something that I really like. Go for it.

Do it. I do it all the time, learned from hard experience that the things I love most are the things that get worn most and when they’re worn out I always wish I’d bought two when I could. Have several duplicate tops and pyjamas and if I find a pair of jeans that fit perfectly I’m buying 3 pairs. My current ‘wish I’d bought two’ are a pair of boots I bought two years ago and have seen me through 2 winters of constant wear but are now starting to fall apart.

I have 2 pairs of amazing leggings. I have worn them to death through two pregnancies and a few years in between. I can't find any replacements now but am so glad I got two pairs when I did!
