I wonder if I am being unreasonable to be disappointed with this. I would be interested to hear your descriptions of the product that you see in the attached picture, so I can judge whether I misjudged what I was buying and shouldn't have felt a little misled

Farmhouse pate. Opened with a bit eaten out of it.

I'll go for twin pack of coarse textured farmhouse pate.

Are you upset because it's a normal sized pack split into two portions? If so, where did you think the other pack was?

The best-before / sell-by date is yesterday's.

I'd expect it to be one long bit of pate, with a small 1-2cm gap.

I expect you have a gap nearly as long as the cardboard sleeve, which I would agree is misleading.

It says 2 x 85g so looks like 2 small packs.

There’s no food under the cardboard.

2 pack of pate totalling 170g. I know from experience with other brands that the cardboard covers a lot of empty space, which is deceiving, as you'd expect the split to be in the centre and the pate to go almost to the end of each pack.

Middle seal hasn't worked/been missed and it is one pack with a nice shaped bit of pate, then a splodge in the same pack.

Or a dead mouse/spider/piece of plastic/foreign object in the middle

The piece on the right looks mis-shapen or a piece missing- have you opened it and used some?

I'm impressed with those of you with good enough eye sight to read the sell-by date.
