It’s chaos in Trump’s world, more so than usual, with #TrumpResign trending in Twitter after a number of key debacles: the pull-out of US troops from Syria, the resignation of General Jim Mattis, and the shutdown of the government over Christmas due to bipartisan disagreement over wall funding. (Those are just 3 issues.) The next few weeks will be rocky.

Whilst I'm 'happy' about the buzzfeed article it's still all about plausible deniability.

Cohen can tell the truth until he's blue in the face but it means nothing until we have incontrovertible proof.

Remember, there were tapes of Nixon. That's the level proof is going to have to rise to. Or pretty near it. He said/he said isn't going to cut it as far as getting the Senate to vote him out of office. Impeachment doesn't mean jack by itself.

Other than possibly making him unreelectable. And with his base it probably won't even do that

The buzzfeed article isn’t dependent on Cohen’s testimony though - the story is based on information from other sources.

And according to them:

“The special counsel’s office learned about Trump’s directive for Cohen to lie to Congress through interviews with multiple witnesses from the Trump Organization and internal company emails, text messages, and a cache of other documents. Cohen then acknowledged those instructions during his interviews with that office.”

Roussette The 'major announcement' is not supposed to be declaring a NE, but to outline Scrotus' Plan to end the shutdown (per reporters; 'according to Senior WH Officials').

But who really knows. Scrotus is so unbalanced he could be going to announce that North Korea will pay for the wall!
