To ask what your sleep schedule is?

fatbrows · 17/12/2018 01:00

I have a horrible sleep schedule and I have no idea anymore what a 'normal' time is to wake up. For me 10am is early :/

So when do you go to sleep and wake up if you're not going to work?

OP posts:
oser · 17/12/2018 01:01

Around 11pm and up at around 7am although I have a toddler.

Thetigerwhocameto · 17/12/2018 01:02

Whatever 6month old dd dictates 😂

JustABetterPlayer · 17/12/2018 01:02

I’m going to bed shortly (1am here) and I’ll be up at 6.00am. As far as I remember I’ve never gone to sleep before midnight since I was about 10 😄

AGHHHH · 17/12/2018 01:05

It's shit

TrueCrimeToll · 17/12/2018 01:06

haha, AGHHH.

At the moment its about 1 a.m., awake about 9-10 a.m.

fatbrows · 17/12/2018 01:07

Maybe I shouldn't have posted this question at 1am where everyone else is probably as abnormal as me GrinGrin
I know once I give birth my sleep will be even more all over the place though

OP posts:
Sooveritg · 17/12/2018 01:07

Currently, I sleep from 11am to about 7.30pm.

TrueCrimeToll · 17/12/2018 01:08

well you're gonna get some late-nighters tonight since you asked at 1 a.m. Grin

But I'm trying to get schedule more back to about 11-11.30 p.m.

TrueCrimeToll · 17/12/2018 01:09

yeah OP, wait to see the replies you start getting at 6 a.m. - all the early birds!

Whyarealltheusernamestaken · 17/12/2018 01:14

I am a night owl, I sleep 3-9 normally. I get tired around 9 and think I should sleep but then something always happens and I’m awake again! I think I’ve just evolved to be awake at this ungodly hour!!

PinguDance · 17/12/2018 01:15

Lol - yes OP this is a somewhat skewed sample! On a work day I get up at 7 but my natural sleep cycle is more like 1am to 10am. I usually sleep til midday on the weekends cos I can’t get enough sleep during the week Confused it’s shit really. Even the routine of getting up at 7 every day for work doesn’t help cos it’s just not what my body wants to do

SleepingStandingUp · 17/12/2018 01:20

We go up to bed about 11.30 pm and DH is up at 7.30. He falls asleep instantly unless sex is on offer lol.

My body knows the 3 yo is a shot sleeper and likes to scream somewhere between 12-2, possibly 4 ish, maybe 5.30 so I struggle to sleep before 1.30-2 and then I'm up and down all night until 7.30.

Weekends DH let's me sleep in as much as I need so this morning I was up at 10

brizzledrizzle · 17/12/2018 01:23

Bed about 10pm, up at 6am. Awake most of the night as I can rarely get yo sleep.

Graphista · 17/12/2018 01:49

Wtf is a sleep schedule? 😖

Between mh issues, pain issues, noisy neighbours and a teen dd working shifts and having a teen social life...

Pretty fucking non existent!

For ages due to the mh it went completely upside down and I was sleeping 6am - about 1pm but not a solid sleep (see noisy neighbours etc)

I never sleep more than 3-4 hours at a go, then I'm awake for up to an hour with anxiety, then exhaustion overwhelms for a few more hours.

I have tried EVERYTHING, nothing works. I have begged for help, in real life and online, I have tried to find how maybe night shift workers reset once retired etc but not found a solution.

If anyone has any ideas I'm all ears!

Ongoing over 20 years of poor sleep here.

notsurewhatshappening · 17/12/2018 01:53

I go to bed at 8 pm after putting kids to bed, sleep until 1am, mn for about an hour then back to sleep until 7 am (6am if it's a work day).

CatLadyToddlerMother · 17/12/2018 02:11

I suffer with insomnia so regularly go 2-3 nights without sleep then spend a couple of days catching up.

JosephineBucket · 17/12/2018 02:22

I didn't sleep at all last night (horrendous insomnia) but managed to get a couple of hours this afternoon. Going to try to get some sleep now but who knows? Seriously need to get my sleep scheduled sorted but it's an unfortunate symptom of my depression.

SilverDoe · 17/12/2018 02:26

I go to bed very early Blush at about 9:30pm I can pretty much guarantee I’ll be asleep, sometimes more like 8:30. I do almost always wake up for an hour or two (woken by 1yo) and then I feel rested and have my relaxing time to myself in peace and quiet at this time of day. I’ll be back asleep by 3 - 3:30 and then it’s another 3.5 - 4 hours before I have to get up.

I love my sleep, I need my sleep. 😴

SilverDoe · 17/12/2018 02:28

notsure

Snap :)

PenelopeFlintstone · 17/12/2018 02:46

10pm to 6.20am. Actually get up at about 6.45am. Groaning all the way.

Juanbablo · 17/12/2018 02:51

Asleep around 10, up at 6. Sometimes I wake up for an hour or so during the night.

Girlicorne · 17/12/2018 02:56

Usually 12/1 until 7.30 in the week and 12/1 til 9 ish at the weekends unless I have to be up earlier. But I ve just got up as I m absolutely wide awake and I have no idea why :-(

Absentwomen · 17/12/2018 02:58

Awake and practically gasped in relief when I saw this

My sleep in dreadful. Menopause. Now I'll be fucking knackered at work. I've watched all the catch up I can absorb. DH is gently sleeping away there.

In winter, I go to bed early as DH can't cope with heating on too long. I love my bedroom as I can snuggle up and watch TV. It's a warmer part of the house and DH is comfor table. I'm able to get rest and get my body to a manageable temperature.

Tonight though, I fell asleep at 8pm and woke up at 1am.

Frogletmamma · 17/12/2018 03:00

I fall asleep about 8 and wake up about 3. Then I potter. I just love the peace and quiet of the early hours.

DeadDoorpost · 17/12/2018 03:04

Sleep schedule? Erm.... whenever i manage to fall asleep pretty much...

Or if the baby is asleep and I'm tired enough to sleep as well... doesn't happen often.
