Without being too outing, I need to look awesome at a Christmas do, like ‘I don’t give a flying fuck about you, you tosser’ Good. but I’m a size 22, 5ft 4, my assets are my boobs and arms (which aren’t as bingo wing as they could be! My nightmare is my middle. I basically need a crash diet. But I have 12 days. So I need a killer dress/ trousers and top combo? I have darn brown shoulder length hair. Are you similar shape? What makes you feel awesome?
Please help me! I’m so shit at dressing up. I normally go for leggings and a tunic top.
Ps I know iambu for posting here but no one even replies on the others. HELP!!!

Wrap dress?

InspectorIkmen · 02/12/2018 20:34

Have you asked them in Style and Beauty? I've found them very helpful in the past.

LanceStatersGold · 02/12/2018 20:35

What shape are you? Dress to that so you accentuate all the bits you feel great about.

I went to a wedding recently in a boat neck top and high waisted midi skirt. Felt amazing, sexy and glamorous.

Sparklesocks · 02/12/2018 20:36

The ASOS Curve range can be good for plus size

CreativeMumma · 02/12/2018 20:40

www.ladyvlondon.com/plus-size Lyra style is very flattering

Fruitbatdancer · 02/12/2018 20:40

I am round, carry it all round middle, with big boobs, I basically never lost baby weight and still look pregnant. I need to hide the middle!

I don't think you could make a drastic changes to you shape in 12 days so I would say concentrate on ways to feel more confident, could you get your hair done? New make up or a make up lesson? A decent bra? Get your nails done?

GotThatWhatWhat · 02/12/2018 20:43

You may roll your eye at Tess Holliday, but these are three very different looks that I think look amazing for a bit of inspo

Or a wrap dress with that deep V neckline will always win.

It might not be your thing but some big stores have a free personal shopping service. They will do all the slogging around the store so you can stay in the changing rooms trying things on. Will save you lots of time and they might suggest something you haven’t thought of which will look stupendous

CreativeMumma · 02/12/2018 20:45

Something empire waisted maybe? what's your budget? And colours you love? What's the event? Looking fab for the pub is very different to looking fab for a black tie event!

Thehop · 02/12/2018 20:45

You need a v neck or a boat neck with either an alone dress/skater dress or palazzo pants.

I’d look at 50s Lindy bop styles they’re super for big boobs and make you look very womanly.

Book a hair appointment and get it blow dried to perfection and have a professional make up job.

Studio 8 Maya Sequin Dress, Blue

Google this it's really nice!!! I can't do a link for some reason Hmm £97 on John Lewis website. It's a glittery blue one :)

CreativeMumma · 02/12/2018 20:57

@Laiste it's lush!

SimplyPut · 02/12/2018 20:58

Firstly feeling good is half the battle!
Drink lots of water
Moisturise
Wax/shave
Light fake tan
Nails done
Hair blowdried
Make up classic not on trend

This black dress is lovely for a Christmas party or This in red or blue for a pop of colour!

Yours has some nice dresses and not expensive. I don’t know what the quality is like though.
