AIBU to ask you WTF I wear?

Without being too outing, I need to look awesome at a Christmas do, like ‘I don’t give a flying fuck about you, you tosser’ Good. but I’m a size 22, 5ft 4, my assets are my boobs and arms (which aren’t as bingo wing as they could be! My nightmare is my middle. I basically need a crash diet. But I have 12 days. So I need a killer dress/ trousers and top combo? I have darn brown shoulder length hair. Are you similar shape? What makes you feel awesome?
Please help me! I’m so shit at dressing up. I normally go for leggings and a tunic top.
Ps I know iambu for posting here but no one even replies on the others. HELP!!!

As previously mentioned by helpful posters, make up and hair and nails are key to feeling and looking good! Treat yourself to a natural looking spray tan too maybe? Really helps me feel better.
As for the outfit.. I have large boobs and a curvy figure do I stick to black wrap style dresses for my Christmas party I’m doing red lips nail and shoes too. A bouncy blow dry helps too! Hope you have a great night OP and let us know how you get on

I have them in black and they go really well with the lace dress I posted.

Last year i booked in for a free makeover with No7 at boots (you can book online) for the afternoon before my xmas do and i felt amazing. No pressure to buy anything either so could be a nice treat for yourself?

I’ve never heard of scarlet and jo but I love that and may give it a whirl will maybe get that and the studio 8 one see which feels good and send the other back!

The value is in the grooming.

Google image search Scarlett on X factor. She is a lot bigger than your average pop star, but week on week she looked gorgeous, because not only were her outfits flattering but her hair/nails/Make up were on point.

Personally, I liked it best when they didn't shove her in a maxi dress but dressed her in a short skirt. If someone looks confident, relaxed and happy, they rarely look anything but fabulous.

If you want to feel bad ass, go for a black outfit with heels and a strong lip colour (red if you feel comfortable!) also buy yourself some new underwear, something really well fitting and sexy. It sounds silly, because it's not seen but for me knowing I have my "best" underwear on plus looking my best is like I have my whole life together go get it girl!!!

Sending you all very in- MN’ety hugs. You’ve given me confidence by just relying. Tomorrow I’m going to make a decision On what dress (or two) and I’ve booked in for hair and nails! I’ve found scarlet and jo, and while I love the dress posted I fear it may be a bit too dressy - it’s a works Xmas do, but is still essentially a pub/ restaurant - I did see a black and pink flower one that might dontrick too! I promise to come back and post the final verdict! Thanks for all the advice! And if anyone knows of a fab plunge bra in a 42E please yell!
