To put up my Xmas decs today

Is anyone else putting theirs up today?

Haha, was just talking about mine on another thread! I've had mine up for a week already...

I was thinking tomorrow. Will a tree last till Xmas and a bit after?

Putting both our trees up today.

Nope not for another 10 days/2weeks

Not for a fortnight at least. I hate the way that so many people think that the words "December" and "Christmas" are interchangeable.

We have our annual Christmas Jumper Party today, so have no choice but to put them up!!

We wouldn't normally do the party until the 3rd weekend in December, but timings just didn't work this year!

My partner is against it but me and my DD out vote him.

I feel christmasy today as my DD has opened up her advent calendar today and bought more decs this week and want to see them up now.

Talking about getting the lights out of the loft to check them. We put outside strings down our path anyway as we live in rural and the path is long and otherwise unlit.

Might make a trip to Dobbies tomorrow early to get bits.

It's December though OP so if you want to then do it. Some people near me have had their tree up for two weeks already.

As much as I love Xmas I can't put them up before 1st of Dec. However some houses near me have put theirs up last week and I like looking at them .

As soon as it hits December you are good to go. I usually do mine the first weekend in December (which would be today or tomorrow) but I’m hiring the rug dr this weekend to freshen up the carpets first so it will probably be next weekend now before I get the chance.

Swimming has been cancelled due to a problem with the pool so we’re doing ours today rather than rushing next weekend.

Go for it! Ours are up and I love them, makes our house feel extra homely. I did have to do it this weekend as we have a party next Saturday but I generally like them up early December, make the most of nice things!

I don’t understand the people who seem so aghast at the very idea of it, sure if I broke into your house and decked it out like the Christmas fairy had vomited all over it I could understand but what people do in their own homes is such an odd thing to get all judgemental over when it’s harmless!

The neighborhood is slightly with strings of icicle fairy light all flashing out of sync.
We do have an advent calendar but that's it so far.

I’m doing mine today. I’m away for a week and a half for work from tomorrow. The weekend I’m back is DS’ 6th birthday so we’ll be busy with that so we only really have today. It’s normally way too early for me.

I hate Christmas decorations but my family love them. My compromise has always been first Saturday in December. This year I'm unlucky so the stupid things go up today.

I think any time in December is acceptable, it is advent after all but there are idiots around here who put them up in early October so all I've had is "Can we have the tree up?" from the youngest for two months! They are definitely on my naughty list for making me endure that.

We put the tree up last night, we are decorating it today. We are also going to buy a small one for the landing later. I don't have many decorations other the trees.

No. I hold off for as long as possible.

Work has had decorations up since the beginning of November.

Its December so totally acceptable. Most people I know are doing the decs this weekend.

Our tree is going up today! We are off to pick it out shortly and then I'll make us some mulled apple juice to have while we listen to Christmas music and decorate.

We have had an Annus Horriblus (sp) so we have the tree up but only lights on it until tomorrow and I am starting to clean to put the decorations up.

I'll be putting mine up during this week sometime.
