To put up my Xmas decs today

Is anyone else putting theirs up today?

I put up my tree last week because me and DH had a day off together and it's something we always do together. The rest of them will probably be up this weekend or early next week. It makes me happy so I don't see the harm.

advent calendars are obviously out. DCs have snow globes which also came out last night. Plus they've put fairy lights on their headboards.

I've switched the autumn wreath on the front door for the Christmas one and have put the garlands and lights on the bannisters. Everything else will wait until next weekend.

We are doing ours today

Ours are going up 2 weeks tomorrow after DS's birthday, that's our tradition!

We do ours tomorrow but we live in Sweden where it’s tradition to decorate on the first Sunday of advent

Spent all morning doing mine so no yanbu. DP has done some of the outside ones too but will finish them off tomorrow

Yes dd and I did ours this morning! Feeling very festive now! It's December so perfectly fine too! 😊

Ugh. I was so looking forward to putting my decorations up and having a friend over for Christmas films and some drinks. Instead I've woken up full of cold!

I'm sorry but that is one of the ugliest Christmas trees I've ever seen.

Just done our artificial tree (and wreath/porch bows) which will be moved from the lounge to the dining room when we get a real one on the day DC break up from school.

Traditionally I'd leave until after DD's birthday on the 15th but she's an adult now and no longer has house parties! I have decided to start a new tradition this year and do a bit of decorating on the 1st from now on. A few twinkly lights now the nights have drawn in is nice.

Another 2 weeks yet here. (3 if I get my way)

everything been up a fortnight

i have disabled kids and Christmas is their fave time(they dont do Halloween)so we make a big deal out of it

I have the tree up but really can’t be bothered with outside lights this year. We’re away for the holidays anyway so doesn’t seem much point.

I put mine up the weekend after thanksgiving, so mine have already been up a week. If I lived in the U.K. they would go up on the 1st, it’s December, it is hardly too early!

Mine went up tonight I always put mine up on 1st December.

Ours went up today. I always like to do them the first weekend of December :)

I don't care if my tree is ugly, me, and DD and partner had fun decorating it.

Ours ended up being a lot bigger and fatter than intended (turns out 9ft is quite tall and our ceiling is not 9ft tall). Tomorrow's job is to rearrange furniture and trim top a bit more!

Not at all, ours have been up since Monday and that's late for us!!!

I have half mine up, rest tomorrow-it's a two day job in our house

We always do ours the first weekend in d3cember. Put our lights up outside today and tomorrow doing the tree as everyone is at home.

We did. It's tradition in our house to go and see Santa and then put up our decs on the first saturday in December. I can't believe how quickly it's come round!
