To ask how your Saturday is going?

Mine has been lovely, long but lovely.

Woke up at 6, slumbered in bed til 7 on my phone then up for a large mug of tea and a relax with TV Christmas movie. Then me and DD pottered about until 10, we got into warm clothes and went for a long walk and into a local area attraction where we wandered through the Christmas style market that was on. Bought some sweeties for this evening and headed home, we've spent the last hour or so warming up under a throw and later we're going to have bubble baths before we watch another movie with our market treats and maybe order a pizza.

I love relaxed Saturdays, next weekend will be so so busy I'm definitely not doing too much this one.

*What are you upto?
*
Hope it's a good one no matter what xx

DH rolled in the door from a night out at 5.45 this morning so I've been awake since then. DS has been awake since 6.30 and had a screaming match at me when I tried to put him down for a nap which woke DH up (at 10.30!) who then had a shower and went back to bed until DS woke up at 12. I forced DH to get dressed and we took DS to the park for a little while. We are now back home and DH is back in bed asleep Angry. Think I'm just going to leave him there tbh. Might treat myself to a pizza later paid for with his card to celebrate what should have been my DMs 65th birthday today Sad

StripySocksAndDocs · 24/11/2018 16:13

Got in from work about 2 hours ago. (Work was an early start.) Came home to an empty house. Now sat in front of a fire to watching Miss Marple.

I'm now wondering:
how Miss Maple supports herself financially
what percentage of the English population had a maid or maids in the 50s
how common was it to have your own driver

mumof2sarah · 24/11/2018 16:16

@RockyisMYRhino first off I'm sending lots of love to you on your mums birthday. I do the same to my DP when hes been awake all night, I much prefer a 'quiet' house rather than a grumpy one lol. I'd order a pizza and some cakes to make up for it lol. I hope your evening gets better lovely xx

@StripySocksAndDocs I don't think I've had an empty house in ages, enjoy the peace and Mrs marple (I've never watched it so don't know what the answer is lol) x

Haven't done much, got up with DS around 8, did some housework, he went down for a nap at 10am, erm spent some 'quality time' with DH Blush and had a little nap myself, made and ate lunch and now we are watching cartoons. I think this evening will go to see the Christmas lights being turned on in my town.

mumof2sarah · 24/11/2018 16:21

@JudasPrudy that ALL sounds like a wonderful Saturday to me ha ha. Enjoy the lights switch on if you end up going, wrap up it's a cold one xx

Swimming lesson for ds first thing then coffee at costa.
Home to tidy up
Dh and Dd got back from food shopping
Had lunch
I've spent the afternoon sorting laundry, eBay listings, tidying etc
Dh and ds now making homemade macaroni cheese (Dd loves it!)

Once we've eaten we'll put the kids to bed and then I'll carry on with the laundry / potter around / watch tele / faff around on mumsnet etc

Lovely lazy day

Ragevibration · 24/11/2018 16:23

DP rolled in at 4am from a night out... started snoring like a diseased walrus so went to sleep on the sofa.

Pissed about in my phone for hours, he got up, apologised for a row we didn't have (he thought that's why I was on the sofa).

Read about unusual restaurants in NYC as part of my current weekly trying to convince DP to book a trip there.

DP went back to bed, I've taken to annoying him every 30 minutes because I'm bored and he's basically been asleep all day.

Away to the ice hockey tonight and considering a wee burger king before hand.

Thrilling, eh.

RockyisMYRhino · 24/11/2018 16:24

Thanks @mumof2sarah. If I do order takeaway later then DH is definitely paying for it even if he doesn't want anything lol

Girlicorne · 24/11/2018 16:25

Awesome Saturday, we are visiting family in the south east and have been at Beaulieu all day, fantastic place. We are just waiting for the light trail then home for wine and takeaway before more festive fun tomorrow!!

toomanycuddlytoys · 24/11/2018 16:26

DS woke at 6.30 asking for his phone, even though he knows he can't use it until 8.00. Rummaging around in his room for toys, so I ended up getting up too. His room is above ours and can hear everything.

DS arrived back from MIL's mid morning. She is downsizing, so he is helping her clear out. We now have several clear plastic boxes of creepy dolls in our kitchen!
Took DS to his activity then he's been on PS4. Setting off again soon to another activity, which involves me sitting on a hard wooden chair for an hour

Heratnumber7 · 24/11/2018 16:28

Watching lots of rugby on TV. With rugby snacks and beer.
Perfect.

itsbritneybiatches · 24/11/2018 16:28

Daughter swimming with her dad.
Husband and me sitting in the sofa, he's watching rugby and I'm in here and reading.
Having a little Prosecco and a hot dog stuffed crust pizza from Iceland.
Going to run DD an early bath then all watch iacgmooh as she lives the trials

WhatelsecouldIbecalled · 24/11/2018 16:31

Mixed! DH is away with work 4 weeks into a 4 month stint and the novelty has worn off. Missing him terribly and feeling a bit low this morning.

Tried to pull myself together. Food shop and now off to spend time win my beautiful nice and incredible sister who are a really source of strength when he’s away! So yeah mixed!

purplelass · 24/11/2018 16:31

Yours sounds lovely!

Mines been great so far, wet and muddy parkrun at 9am with not too shoddy a time considering the weather. Lovely hot shower and a cuppa and time with my teenage daughter, painting her nails for her meal out with her boyfriend later, cuppa with the ex in-laws this afternoon then this evening I'll be making myself a curry, opening the wine and watching strictly & netflix in my pjs

Littlewhitedove · 24/11/2018 16:31

Had a lie-in and woke at 0800ish. Woke daughter(18) at 0930 and spent some time chatting to her. Daugher went to work at midday, DH took dog for a walk before the rain started again and I did some tidying. Now we are watching rugby and dog is snoozing.

To ask how your Saturday is going?
Girlsworld92 · 24/11/2018 16:34

Tried to lie in to sleep off my hangover but we are having some work done so the guys doing that kept waking me up. I refused to actually get up before 930 though! My lovely friend came for a brew & brought me hangover snacks. Popped to choose a new bedroom carpet. Back home & into pjs with my daughter who is exhausted today & watching films. I also had a little snooze. Bliss. We don't often have lazy weekends so I'm enjoying this one x

Wauden · 24/11/2018 16:35

Had a lie-in which convinced me that I cannot take on a dog or cat until I retire or reduce hours. (Yesterday worked until late.) Laundered clothes. Enjoyed Mumsnet story about CF tryimg to talk her friend out of having a party for her own son based on painting, but football, because boys should play football instead. Posted brilliant comment.
Worried about work, friends, myself, climate change and worried worryingSmile

dalmatianmad · 24/11/2018 16:35

Rocky I'd be kicking his arse! Hope you are ok.
I've been in bed all day (working nights all weekend).
Got in at 8am, had a dreadful shift, dealt with a nasty death. Came home and had a little cry thinking of the poor relatives.
Slept solid all day, just had a fish finger sandwich for my breakfast. Chilling with dc then heading back to work 🙄

whatstheplanphil · 24/11/2018 16:37

Watched Ds2 play football this morning then back to warm up with bacon sandwiches and hot choc.
Cleared out a load of dvds to cash in at CEX and then ds1 and I went on a long walk and had a really lovely catch up .
Dp is out shopping, I'm just having a cup of soup and then I'm gonna turf ds2 off fortnite so I can watch the rugby . It's been a great Saturday so far.

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 24/11/2018 16:37

Had a lie in
Nearly had a wank but couldn’t be arsed
Took youngest shopping bought presents for 2 relatives and 3 parties

Made lunch

Rested , tidied and did nails

@toomanycuddlytoys Sounds like a busy, filled day, take a cushion for that wooden chair and hopefully enjoy your evening once the activities have finished xx

After been up 3 times through the night with my poorly 3 month old I gave up and came downstairs at 7.

He finally settled enough to allow me to get us both dressed and thought I'd have time to cook breakfast. As soon as I had put sausages in he wouldn't settle again so couldn't cook my bacon and eggs. Ended up going to my mums so she could soothe the baby while I ate!

We then went food shopping where he was perfect all the way round until I needed to pack my shopping where he screamed blue murder!

Then came home and cuddled on the sofa in our pjs!

It's been a very long day and I'm very glad my other half is off tomorrow to help with the night feeds tonight!!

Owletty · 24/11/2018 16:40

Thanks OP - you too

I might even pour myself s glass of red later too 🍷

mumof2sarah · 24/11/2018 16:40

@Littlewhitedove sounds lovely, your dog is so so cute. Enjoy your evening xx

@Girlsworld92 it's so nice to sometimes just kick back and relax, we often don't realise we need it until we actually do it. Enjoy and hope you're hangover doesn't last too long xx
