Mine has been lovely, long but lovely.

Woke up at 6, slumbered in bed til 7 on my phone then up for a large mug of tea and a relax with TV Christmas movie. Then me and DD pottered about until 10, we got into warm clothes and went for a long walk and into a local area attraction where we wandered through the Christmas style market that was on. Bought some sweeties for this evening and headed home, we've spent the last hour or so warming up under a throw and later we're going to have bubble baths before we watch another movie with our market treats and maybe order a pizza.

I love relaxed Saturdays, next weekend will be so so busy I'm definitely not doing too much this one.

*What are you upto?
*
Hope it's a good one no matter what xx

Sorry to hear that dalmationmad I work nights and they can be really tough, I hope you have a better night tonight.

Palegreenstars · 24/11/2018 16:42

My toddler slept through for the first time in a month so had a lovely start to the day. Then battled said toddler and a terrified pet to the vets for jabs whilst partner went to the docs.

We had friends for lunch so made something nice plus a curry for later which we are now driving down the coast for an evening with family.

It’s been lovely despite seeming a bit stressed during it. A rainy day that doesn’t feel endless with a toddler is good in my book.

OP I love these threads and your day sounds fab

stressedmum15 · 24/11/2018 16:43

I’ve had a lovely day, food shopping and weigh in then picked my mom up and went to buy a table with her. Went to the local church fayre where dd2 won me a bottle of Prosecco and then my lovely mom took us all for lunch at the pub. Put dd2 down for a sleep and have just dropped my mom home. Now for Prosecco X factor and I’m a celeb, lovely day 😀

Mehmehmeh19 · 24/11/2018 16:48

I'm loving my Saturday, did jobs and house work this morning. Dropped darling dog off with the in-laws.

Picked darling nephew up don't see him as much as I should. Now in hull in the travel lodge! Drinking wine with DP, DD, and DN. going to see one of my very favourite bands!

To make it better! DP knew there was home bargains round the corner and has gone to buy more wine!

  • DD & DN both 18

I spent all morning looking after a very poorly 6 month old while trying to get laundry done, which I've been neglecting (but I've now run out of clean knickers!). Then dropped DH off to head off for his day and evening in London with mates, while I look after the sicky DS all evening and undoubtedly all sleepless night tonight too. As mentioned somewhere above, I think this deserves a pizza takeaway on DH card tonight...

DaphneBroonsHandbag · 24/11/2018 16:54

Got out of bed at 10am, had a long bath, DH made a lovely lunch of sun dried tomato and olive bread, various meats, olives and cheeses. We watched the rugby and my arse is still firmly on the couch with a glass of wine watching Outlander while he's rattling about in the kitchen. He's apparently preparing salt and pepper chicken wings, crispy duck and sweet and sour king prawns for dinner. We're going to watch Outlaw King later. It's been a very relaxing Saturday and much needed after the week I've had at work.

mumof2sarah · 24/11/2018 16:54

@UterusesBeforeDuderuses get that food ordered my lovely, sounds like you deserve it. I hope your little one is feeling better in no time and you get some sleep. Lots of love xx

I didn't get up til 11 and haven't done very much most of the day. Dh took the eldest out for something so the youngest and I stayed home and had a nice, quiet hour together.

Later on this afternoon though, we were trying to get ready to go to the garden centre to have a look at the Xmas lights and decorations but there was so much kicking off from the youngest dc that we decided not to go.

The washer didn't spin properly so the clothes were sodden when they came out and needed about ten mins in the spin dryer to get rid of all the water. I'm just waiting for dh to put them to dry now.

It's not 5pm and I'm tired! I wish I could snooze on the settee but it's not possible with 2 dc who are finding everything they can to argue over Sad

UterusesBeforeDuderuses · 24/11/2018 16:58

@mumof2sarah thanks hun, hope you have a lovely rest of your weekend 😊xx

I have been awake since 7:30. I have to admit I have done very little. I turned my xbox one and gamed.

My godfather came around at noon. I then went up to Aldi to buy dinner stuff. I am now watching Arthur Christmas.

I also bought a notepad so I can write notes for my therapist. As everyweek I forget what I want to talk about.

missionofmercy · 24/11/2018 17:11

Sorry to lower the mood. Mum had her 7th stroke this morning. Blue lighted in to hospital.

But she's ok and under obs. From admission to A+E to a bed took just under four hours and that included a CT scan. All free for her.

Not in UK. But I'm flipping knackered!

Hope you all enjoy the rest of the weekend.

darkriver198868 · 24/11/2018 17:14

Missionofmercy I am sorry about your mum.

missionofmercy · 24/11/2018 17:16

darkriver, Thank you.

Sorry to say it, but we know the drill with this. Mum is fantastic. Bless her, never complains.

But emergencies like this do take their toll on those around the patient. Anyway, onwards and upwards!

Catpyjama · 24/11/2018 17:17

Fuckawful. The baby lost it at a friend's house this morning and has been screaming his heart out intermittently ever since. I'm stuck on a train which is now two hours late. I can't site down because the baby is finally asleep in the sling and he'll wake if I do. It's like being tortured.

Binkybix · 24/11/2018 17:20

Train to Karting with friends (my first time and I was nervous, so proud of myself), a little rest in our hotel then out for dinner for part 2 in a bit.

Happy weekend everyone. Or keep going weekends for those having tough ones.

Eminybob · 24/11/2018 17:24

It’s been our first day back at home since having a new baby ds on Thursday.
The midwife came round so I stayed in, feeding and cuddling, dh took ds1 out to the park for a bit then shopping.
We are all chilling watching a film now.
Happy and relaxed Smile

MustardPowder · 24/11/2018 17:28

Everyone was busy therefore I planned a lovely solo mooch round town, perhaps a little smuggle of cake and a coffee, a browse round the charity shops and a bit of early 'yeah, I'll get that for her' Xmas looking.

At the first shop window a huge seagull did a huge shit all down the back of my coat. So I came home and had a sausage roll out of the fridge and watched Homes Under the Hammer all afternoon.

hooveringhamabeads · 24/11/2018 17:29

In Egypt at the moment so went horse riding across the desert and in the Red Sea this morning, spent the afternoon lounging on a sun lounger reading whilst the dc played at the water park, just been out for dinner as a bit sick of the all inclusive food, now I’m sat at the hotel bar drinking wine outside wearing a summer frock.

Do I win? 😬
