As Maddow said, 45 giving written answers to Mueller's questions may be his downfall.

Because in a verbal interview, his incoherent word-cloud where he never quite commits to anything might have given him some wiggle-room. But with written answers... Nah.

And his legal team were so chuffed with themselves for having got Mueller to agree to the written format. Oopsie!
